One of my favorite things about running Sequins & Things is discovering new brands and companies I had never heard of before. Today, I’m thrilled to introduce 31Bits, a company that fully embraces their love for sparkle while also making a global impact. The jewelry you see on their website, and that I’m wearing, is made by women in Uganda. And, what I love the most is … that through business generated from 31Bits, they receive an income to help them rise above poverty. These women are cared for holistically through counseling, health education, finance training and business mentorship, as well. How amazing is that?? Think about it. What if you had no way of making money for your family? Didn’t have our first world luxuries like Publix, Whole Foods, a shower with running [and hot] water, a mattress, blankets, soap, etc. And then, by God’s grace, a few college girls on a mission trip saw your needs and decided they weren’t going to just talk about their dreams, but actually put some action behind it … and all because they believe you deserve all the things that we have here. 31Bits is a perfect example of what can happen when you deny yourself and obey the pull God is placing on your heart. I hope you’ll consider checking out 31Bits’ Holiday Collection and give back this holiday season with your purchase! Happy Sunday, y’all!
