Hi friends!

For anyone who follows me on Snapchat, or Instagram, you know I’m starting to collect questions for my Birthday Q&A I’m going to do for my 30th Birthday post later this month. I’m also collecting questions to celebrate my 3rd anniversary as a blogger. I get a lot of questions about blogging so, depending on the feedback I get, I’d love to answer all of your questions in either one or multiple posts. I’m excited to kind of sort it all out and share what I have learned with you all. Please feel free to email me HERE or leave a comment below with any questions about me as a person, my personal life, etc as well as blogging and what I’ve learned. I gave some examples of questions on my Snapchat {username: @alyson_haley} and am really excited about this so I’d love if you would participate 🙂

I’ve decided to go ahead and answer one of the questions I’ve already been asked in today’s post to give you a sneak peek as to what it’ll be like. The question is …

What is your favorite lip stick / lip gloss combination?
Personally, I feel like I look best in a neutral lip color and, lately, I’ve found that that ‘perfect’ nude color is what I’m wearing in today’s post. If you’re a lip color wear-er, the first thing you should be doing is using a product that helps to ‘prep’ your lips by exfoliating them and moisturizing them. I have been Sara Happ®’s Sparkling Peach Lip Scrub and Lip Slip every night before I go to bed. If you’re on a budget, I’d recommend taking a dry washcloth and rubbing it on your lips after getting out of the shower to exfoliate then apply either Vaseline or a good lip moisturizer. My favorite is Jack Black’s and it’s under $10! Okay, then apply THIS lip pencil in Stripdown. Next, you’ll apply THIS new NARS lip color in ‘Rosecliff’ and my all-time favorite lip gloss in ‘Turkish Delight’. Sometimes, depending on the colors I’m wearing, I’ll apply a thin layer of ‘Fleshpot‘ [lipstick color] over ‘Rosecliff‘ before applying the gloss. That’s really pretty, too, and one of my go-to combinations!
