Boho Inspired Outfit + Hello From London

Hi friends! I’m so excited to bring you my first outfit post from beautiful London today! These photo’s were taken [by the wonderful Ella!] on the street perpendicular to mine, so I literally walk down it every day for one reason for another. It’s such a beautiful little neighborhood. It’s very “London”, in general. There are tons of streets here that look like this, so I feel like I live in a Pinterest photo and I still pinch myself every day that I get to be here for a few months!

This dress was a pre-London purchase. I found it over a month ago and hesitated buying it because I thought it was a little different than what I normally gravitate towards, in terms of the print and bubble sleeves. But, over and over again, I kept going back to it. I think it’s because it’s a babydoll style dress, which has always been one of my favorite dress styles, so ended up going for it! I am wearing a Size 2 and, for reference, I normally wear an XS / 00 in most items.

HEADS UP >> Be sure to check out the links to one of my favorite new nude lip combinations down in the Product Links section! I’ve been wearing this nude lip liner with all of my nude lip colors, lately! It goes on SO smooth!

Last week, I talked with y’all on Snapchat about how important it is to me to always wear items that ARE available for purchase. I understand how frustrating it is when you see something in a photo and you go all heart-eye-emoji then come to find it’s not available at all. There are  times where I don’t realize it’s sold out so, sometimes, linking a sold out item is completely unintentional. However, with this outfit, I had it photographed KNOWING that these booties are not in stock. They are a pair of booties that were popular last Fall / Winter. But, when I packed for London, new Fall booties hadn’t been released on any of my favorite online retailers’ websites so I knew that I would have to pack ones that I knew I would wear for outfits up until I can buy new ones that are available to you all now. [There’s always a chance that last years’ booties could return this year — like my favorite black wedge booties — but that, unfortunately, hasn’t been the case for these!] So, I wanted to let y’all know that I am sorry these aren’t available BUT … the great news is … NEW FALL BOOTIES HAVE BEEN RELEASED!

I have purchased two pairs [this one & this one] that I couldn’t be more excited to receive them here in London. I can’t wait to style them for you all throughout the Fall season! That is … IF I get them. If you follow me on Snapchat, I had to face a fear of mine last night in an attempt to retrieve a package that was left for me last week. Become a part of my #snapchatfam and see how that turned out, ha!

Speaking of Snapchat, a few of y’all have been asking me to link the Nike’s I wore the other day, the plaid top I wore last night, and the Manolo’s from the other day at Harrod’s so I’ll link them below:

I’m heading to Rome on Thursday. Ben is going to be in charge of pinching me all weekend because I’m going to be in continuous shock that I’m there. I cannot believe I get to go to one of my bucket list cities!!!! It’s been on my list since I was obsessed with the Lizzie McGuire movie in high school, hah! [#honest] Let me know if you have any recommendations of must-eat places or must see! We have already purchased tickets for the Sistine Chapel & Vatican Museum and the Colosseum.

I hope y’all had a great weekend and start to your week yesterday! I had every intention of getting this post up yesterday but my to do list go the best of me WAY early on — if you follow me on Snapchat, you know all about that, too 😉

Thanks for stopping by, y’all! xo.

A restaurant near the Vatican that is a definite “must” is Ragno d’Oro, also known as Marco e Fabio. It is easy to miss, but the address is Via Silla 26. It was recommended to me by a friend who lived there for a while. My in-laws and I went 6 years and STILL talk about it! It’s definitely a local, traditional Italian experience. Ask for Fabio!

Love these beautiful photos! Such a cute look too. 🙂
Quick question though..You styled a couple pairs of booties from the nsale. Did you not end up keeping them? Just curious because I bought both of them and was hoping to see new looks with them. 😉 You mention here that you didn’t have new ones before you left for London.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE that you asked this question because you definitely bring up a good point! Okay, so I do still have them but I didn’t bring them because last year, after the NSale was over, none of the items I bought came back in stock. None. At least none that I could remember. So, when I was debating about what shoes [booties] to bring, I was like ‘well, I don’t want to bring them and then have people who maybe didn’t buy them be disappointed that they are sold out because I don’t think they’ll restock.’ I thought there would be a better chance of last year’s Fall styles being restocked because I saw that my black wedge booties were. And I couldn’t bring them all so I had to make some choices that I knew would be chancy. So, I clearly packed the wrong ones :\ In hindsight, I should have just brought them anyway but, I had a lot to pack [rain boots, flats, nikes, etc] so I had to make some cuts along the way. I also contemplated having them shipped to me [haha] but I know that they will sell out completely soon so I bought others that’ll likely stay in stock the whole time I’m here, which will be good. Oh … the behind-the-scenes of being a blogger haha, but when I get home … I will style them here and there for ya! Seriously … I LOVE the booties I got during the NSale. You wear them with whatever you want! They would look really cute with this dress, for sure!
