Last Chance Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Finds

nordstrom anniversary sale, nordstrom sale, distressed denim, sale alert, sale picks

Hey there lovelies!

And just like that …. it’s the last day of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Are y’all happy with the sale overall? Did y’all snag a lot of the things you wanted?

If I’m honest, I couldn’t be more excited that it’s almost over. As an influencer, I love this sale and I love covering it. It is absolutely worth all the hype that it gets but I do kind of feel that, after a certain point, it just becomes overkill. All the restock alerts on IG stories. All the Instagram post mentions. Etc. Etc. Etc. [I know those can be beneficial and if other influencers did that which allowed you to snag something you wanted …. AMAZING!] Ever since I started my blog, I’ve loved showcasing great deals and things I personally think will benefit your wardrobe but, I think covering a sale for THREE weeks and mentioning it every.single.day when almost all of the items everyone wants are barely in stock is a little much. I want to apologize if my coverage of the sale after it went public wasn’t what you were hoping for, or wanting from me, but I just didn’t feel right about forcing a sale down your throat when everything I had purchased was essentially not available. That’s not fair to y’all and I didn’t want to just keep buying from the sale just to push be able to continue mentioning to sale and tempting y’all to buy more stuff that I wasn’t really into.

Gosh … I hope that wasn’t too much of downer intro to this post, hah! I only ever just want to be honest with y’all and that’s where I’m at. I love me some Nordstrom but there are OTHER places to shop. I’m shooting some cute looks this afternoon with Miguel and I’m excited to share them all with you this week and the next. There are a variety of retailers represented and I promise you can trust that you’ll have a good buying experience from them if you are tempted by any of the items in the posts. Before we get into those outfit posts this week, and since I haven’t covered the Nordstrom Sale that much since it went public, I thought I’d do one last hoo-rah and share the 15 items that you should consider that ARE still in stock and WHY today as a final goodbye to the sale!

[1] COAT: I tried on this coat the first day of Early Access and was instantly disappointed because I absolutely LOVED it but it didn’t fit me. But, that doesn’t mean I’m not going to recommend it! It runs big so size down! It’s GREAT quality. I totally would have purchased it had I had the option to go one size down from my normal. I personally love this brown color, too, because it’s different than what you typically see when it comes to outerwear.

[2] DIFFUSER: I haven’t fallen into the essential oils craze yet but, if you are thinking about diving in, I’d say go with this adorable diffuser. It’s a neutral piece that you can add to any shelf!

[3} CANDLES: The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the best time to stock up on some of your favorite candles. Earlier in the sale, I stocked up on Voluspa and Capri Blue candles that were includes. I also purchased THIS one. I am purchasing this gold candle set. I have heard they smell amazing and am excited to add a few more candles to my collection. I like to keep a solid stock because I burn candles every night so I go through them rather quickly.

[4] HANDBAG: How adorable is this little cross body bag? I think it’ll look really nice with Fall outfits!

[5] SKIRT: Working gals!! This skirt is so chic and it’s under $50! It comes in two colors and, typically, Topshop runs true to size.

[6] BOOTS: As I was perusing the sale last night, I found these boots and they are SUCH a great dupe of the 50/50 boot by Stuart Weitzman. I don’t think these go over-the-knee but that would make them a really good option for girls who feel like that style is a little overwhelming on them. Check out that price! Such a good deal with lots of sizes available!

[7] CAMISOLE: I bought this camisole in the ivory color a couple weeks ago and finally got around to styling it! I’ll be sharing it on Instagram today, so stay tuned for that! It comes in 4 colors and are available in most sizes in most colors!

[8] CLUTCH: This clutch caught my eye last night. I love the color. I think you’ll be seeing a lot of gray booties this year so this will be a great, affordable handbag to pair with whichever one you end up opting for [maybe you should go ahead and buy #14 instead of waiting for those new gray booties to come out being that you’d have to pay full-price for those 😉 ].

[9] SUNNIES: These are my favorite sunnies from the sale! Here are what they look like on:

The full details from this outfit are HERE.

[10] JACKET: I tried this jacket on when I first shopped the sale during Early Access. I really like it. The fit is unmatched for this type of jacket. It runs true to size and is a great Fall staple to have in your wardrobe! I love that it’s lightweight compared to the previous style.

[11] SLIPPERS: I’ll be living in these when the cold weather comes in January in Florida 😉 But … you’ll [likely] be wearing them starting in October haha! I’ll be bringing them on my travels up north and abroad in the coming months, so they’ll definitely get more use than I would otherwise hah!

[12] EARRINGS: Okay, these are still a splurge but these earrings are great quality and I’m obsessed with this tangerine color!

[13] MOISTURIZER: I bought this on a recent trip before a long international flight home. My skin needed some major love. This stuff plumps up dry skin and gives it a healthy dose of moisture! So, now this stuff goes with me in my carry-on every time I travel but if you’re prone to dry skin … you should definitely grab it while it’s on sale!

[14] BOOTIES: These booties were one of my favorite purchases from the sale and I’m shocked they’re still in stock. They run true to size and come in three color options. You can see me wearing them in the photo under SUNNIES.

[15] COLD SHOULDER TOP: I bought this cold-shoulder top a couple of weeks ago from the sale but just haven’t taken a picture in it. Call me lazy if you want but, like I said earlier, I was just feeling like I had already shared enough and didn’t want to shove even MORE down your throat. I still don’t have a picture of me in it so I will share it on Instastories today! I bought a Small and it fits like an XS so I would size up! I think it’s really cute but the print / colors may not be everyone’s cup of tea!

Alright, that does it! I hope you’ve enjoyed the sale and got everything you needed / wanted! Happy Shopping ladies! xo.

Couldn’t agree with you more about the sale being too long and coverage becoming overkill. I, for one, think your coverage was spot on.. not too much or too little. You’re like the Goldilocks of the Nordstrom sale lol

It’s way overkill for us “followers” that follow for inspiration, etc. Its also disappointing because last year I bought stuff off of “influencer” recommendation and then not too long after many were selling in their shop instagram accounts. That being said it felt like it wasn’t about great products and a great sale, but really for money. It was disappointing and made me feel duped. I think you do a better job of balancing that. But you are right, every blogger posting every day is OVER the top! I do love your blog and how honest you are. That was just my opinion of the Nordstrom sale.

Hey Tabitha! The Nordstrom Sale definitely helps bloggers earn a living and I don’t think that’s a bad thing as long as you’re keeping your main motivation at the front end of why you’re doing what you’re doing. I think there is a way to go overboard. I’m by no means saying I’ve always done it perfectly. I’ve gotten caught up in being motivated by the wrong things in the past. I’m also by no means hating on anyone in particular. But, I feel like I’ve realized some things this year that have changed how I approach to and perspective on blogging and I’m hoping it’s a good thing. xo.

I feel the sale was a little long this year. Maybe I just follow more bloggers this year so it was constant. I appreciate you not overloading us with it. It would be nice if next year they made it just 2 weeks. On a brighter note I’m looking forward to your posts this week!

Hey Beth! It’s always three weeks but I just feel like … if things aren’t going to stay in stock then why not just make Early Access one week and Public Access one week. It just makes more sense in my mind that way. Haha 🙂

Thank you for not covering it for 3 weeks!! I feel anyone who wanted something that was out of stock would themselves check back everyday so for me my feed of other bloggers was getting to be a little much of the sale and your posts were new and not about the sale so it was nice for sure!!

Hi Stacey! That’s essentially what I figured. My goal is to make shopping the sale easier for y’all and highlighting the items that caught my eye and reviewing those so you know if they’re worth the purchase but, after awhile, I was like ‘okay … I’ve done that now let’s let it go’. Thanks for reading. xo!

Everyone’s audiences are different so it’s possible other bloggers were just honoring the requests of their readers and that’s cool. I’m not trying to hate on ANYONE. To each their own. This was just my take 🙂 Thanks for reading Marguerite! xo.

I quit following several bloggers over this sale because it was OVBIOUS that they were just trying to make a buck. Suddenly things that we’re “misses” became “hits” only because it was in stock and their style completely changed. The restock alerts also annoyed me because usually there was only one in stock and it was almost always gone anyways. As someone who got almost everything I wanted (due to constantly checking and calling) quite frankly I didn’t want it announced because it went that much quicker. Lol!! Anyhow, thank you for being authentic. Love this post and I have so much respect for YOU!!! A lot of bloggers have lost my trust lately with their “sponsored” posts that don’t match their style. Keep doing you girl! So appreciated…

Thank you! Thank you for being honest AND for showing us, your readers, your intentions. I found it slightly annoying that many influencers just kept dragging up new stuff every single day trying to get us to buy, buy, buy all. the. things. It comes across as self serving if I’m being honest. I know it’s their livelihood, but it doesn’t exactly convey respect for the followers either. I honestly ONLY want to see what someone else themselves really loves and will wear and keep wearing after the sale…NOT what they bought to push and will soon toss aside. That’s misleading. I have so so much respect for you and truly appreciate this post!

I was so disappointed that so many items sold out so quickly! Even as a cardholder, I didn’t feel like Early Access really benefitted me that much. I kept finding things I liked, and they were what all the bloggers I follow were posting – seriously, SO many people were recommending and styling the exact same things! – only to try to get them and have them be sold out. It was three weeks of frustration. I don’t live near a Nordstrom so had to order everything online and pray it fit – lots had to be returned, which was frustrating. That being said, it was a great sale and I got some great buys! Your input helped me find a few things I love! Good job on not being overkill, though! I think you struck a great balance. ????

You’ve made several posts lately that have really reinforced why you’re my favorite fashion blogger… Aside from your amazing style, you clearly respect the power you have as an influencer and maintain an integrity in your posts that is really refreshing and unique. Please keep up the good work! I now have several fantastic pieces in my closet that I bought after seeing you style them 🙂 Can’t wait to see what you’ve got planned for the future!

Hi there, I personally can’t buy things online because I am so short that I have to try on things first because if I order online things are not getting returned. I don’t like the hassle so I usually just give things away to my sister and nieces. So I like going into the store and trying things out BUT I usually can’t find things my size because either people go crazy when the sale starts or I just simply find they look different on me being I’m 5 ft and a size 6 not a 0 or 2 like most bloggers I follow (not hating, cause I still love you so much) but it’s disappointing for me. It’s fresh to see that your blogs and posts don’t just revolve around the sale for these 3 weeks and you give us variety.

Another great post, girlie! As someone who is easily tempted by pretty things, I’m so glad for your honesty in this post! Your coverage was great this year – I picked up a few things I’m excited to wear!

Side note: Diffusing essential oils has been so enjoyable – I think you’d really love it! It feels so calming and indulgent, and it’s soooo easy to use!
