Holiday Gift Guide: For the Hostess

Hi friends! I’m back with another gift guide for y’all and this week’s is all about the hostess. I personally LOVE to entertain but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t also enjoy heading to someone else’s house just as much. The list here is made for those who are always throwing get-togethers and parties – the ones who provide so much joy through hosting – and can serve as a little token of appreciation. Similar to this post on holiday-party essentials, I find that these gifts are great options to have on-hand throughout the year, honestly. You don’t need to have all of them, of course, but just have a few tucked away in a closet to pull from. They’re the perfect thing to grab before heading to a weekend gathering or weekday happy hour at someone’s house. They’d be cute for Thanksgiving next week, too! Instead of bringing a bottle of wine or something they might already have [though there’s nothing wrong with that], these are more unique and thoughtful gifts, which might be a nice change for the host or hostess. Let me speak to a few of my favorites below the style board. By the way, the board is click-able so you simply click the item on the board to shop!

Here are some thoughts about a few of them:

TWO | I am actually considering buying this for John’s mom for Christmas. It keeps the wine bottle you have out for guests chilled in a vacuum-like container. It’s such a helpful thing to have around if you like to have people over.

FIVE | Candy’s area always a great gift, especially for a family who has kids. While I know parents like to curb sugar, they could potentially use these as stocking stuffers for Christmas day!

NINE | Not only is this a beautiful bottle to carry around for water [instead of buying single use plastic bottles], the inter-changable gem [at the bottom] energizes your drinking water and restructures it to the same level as pure spring water. If you have a friend who loves the concept of crystal healing, this may be a great option!

TEN | Save everyone at the party’s day by bringing this to have in the bathroom! It could also make a great gag gift for White Elephant!

THIRTEEN | Everyone can appreciate a gift like a lint roller and this one is so small and cute. It’s easy to tuck away in your daily handbag to ensure it’s always on hand and you’ll never have to deal with fuzz!

EIGHTEEN | Coasters are always a great gift as you can never have too many around the house for people to set their glasses on, especially when you’re hosting a bunch of people!

Are you more of a host or an attendee? I don’t think there’s anything wrong with either … or being someone who enjoys both like me. Is there a small gift someone has brought you that’s stuck out when hosting? Or anything you always save to bring to the host? Let me know! xo.

These are cute ideas! I always love to bring a dessert on a pretty dish for them to keep, a nice not overpowering candle or just some flowers.

I love all these ideas! I love to host friends and family and my favorite gifts to receive are Anthro candles and sugarfina. I love seeing the expandable reusable straw on here. It looks like it is sold out, but I have one from amazon that I keep in my 1.5 year old’s diaper bag for whenever we are somewhere that only provides paper straws. A toddler and paper straws don’t mix because she just chews it up. Thanks for the ideas!
