Festive Christmas Day Outfit Inspiration

Happy Monday, friends! I’m writing this from London and gosh, I’m really happy to be here. It is amazing what this place does for my soul, especially during this time of year. John and I are excited about our Christmas plans. I’ll be sharing them with you in my very first vlog, which will go live Wednesday afternoon! Be sure to subscribe to my You Tube channel to get updates on when it goes live!

With the holiday quickly approaching [nine days and counting!], I wanted to put together an outfit that I thought served well as Christmas Day inspiration. Of course, everyone celebrates differently, and if you’re heading to church or something more formal, this look might not be for you. If you’re more casual, though, I think you’ll like it! I wanted to focus on the type of Christmas that I tend to have, so this way, whether I’m in Florida or London, I’ll be set.

There are a few things I like to keep in mind when pulling together a look for Christmas, and they surround comfort and feeling festive. Especially if you tend to hop around on the holiday and visit different family and friends, you want something put together yet totally comfortable as well.

You can snag this entire outfit at Nordstrom, which is probably no surprise, seeing that they always have an amazing selection of holiday attire. From casual to dressy, they really can’t be beaten. I snagged this holiday-appropriate wool / cashmere plaid scarf that was perfect for the holiday, and the mix of wool / cashmere make it cozy and all sorts of luxe. [It would make a great gift, by the way!] I actually ended up snagging a few presents for some of my London friends because I just couldn’t resist Nordstrom’s accessory game right now.

I actually already had the sweater [which, by the way, I’ve worn close to 10 times in a matter of weeks], and then you know I’m obsessed with Suede over the knee Boots like this pair. PRO TIP: Don’t forget to throw on a decent pair of boot socks in case you head to someone’s house who has a no-shoe rule, ha. Been there!

And let’s not forget the need for comfy jeans with holiday meals, cookies and maybe a yummy cocktail or glass or two of vino. Lastly, I wanted a festive pop that would be warm enough for London if I do end up staying here. I’ve loved introducing pom pom beanies into my closet, especially this time of year, because they’re fun and playful [and functional, obviously].

If you wanted to re-create this look or something similar for your own Christmas, you could easily mix and match pieces you already own. If you need something new, I’d highly recommend checking out Nordstrom’s current Sweaters and accessories because … heart eye emojis over here! Don’t forget to consider the store for your last-minute holiday gifts either [like this cashmere beanie]. They make it really easy with their holiday gifting section that has all budgets in mind. Gotta love that!

Hope y’all have a wonderful week! Let me know what you have planned for Christmas in the comments below. I’d love to hear what you’re up to. And, if you’re still needing some holiday gift ideas, head to the holiday page for my gift guides! xo.
