IG Roundup, Weekend Sales, Top Selling Products

I got the sweetest God wink this week on one of mine & John’s outings! Check out this highlight to hear more. I also saved it in a highlight for you to be able to come back to if you are in the London area and looking for a great day trip idea!

With LOTS of gaps in my summer wardrobe, I went on a bit of a spree at Freepeople and Asos and shared the items that made the cut in this blogpost! I did a little try-on haul and review of everything, including this stunning dress that I’ll [God willing] be wearing to my best friends wedding in September. It was right around $50!

Wednesday’s outing was a liiiittle less exciting, hah! We went to get John’s car washed, but, honestly, I’ll take it! It was sunny and warm so I’ve got a smile on! Lots of Amazon faves, like my pink hat, are up on the blog. Be sure to check out the post here!

I was a bit surprised at how much I liked these paper bag pants I snagged at H&M this past week, I love how loose fitting they are and are perfect to throw on when doing chores around the house or running out to the grocery store! They come in five different color options (5 for my US gals, 3 options for my UK gals) and are under $25!

I love longer days in the Summer, don’t you? It boggles my mind that the sun comes up just before 5am here and sets just after 9pm! We took our cider outside and enjoyed the last little bit of sun before getting our picnic bits ready. Can’t wait to catch some sun & read a good book! Any summer reads you’d recommend?

I would normally pair this Free People top with a pair of denim jeans but I am really enjoying the bike short trend being back and I think this is a great way to let those legs breath in this heat!

I am still loving these Piper leggings I snagged last month. They give me the boost I need to get that work-out in when I am feeling less than motivated some days. Just something about a cute work-out outfit, right ladies?!

I hope you all are doing well. The last few weeks being able to get outside here & there has made a world of difference. My mood has shifted and I am grateful for the wait as it has made me appreciate living in my favorite place with my favorite human so much sweeter!

So what is the answer to racism. We all shout against it but nobody has a solution. What started as a message for a brutal killing has developed into destruction of our society. This solves nothing. The few bad apples in the police cannot hold a candle to those who help you when you are assaulted, raped and putting out a fire. You call police. Many and most do help you.. it does not justify violence to them or any business struggling to get back on their feet against a pandemic.. The police officers will suffer the consequences…yes they will.. their lives are over….what more can we ask from a totally stupid decision…..
However, All our beloved stores where we shop and whom you suggest are being slowly closed…due to pandemic and now riots. Who would keep a store open? I have a family member who manages a high end store that has been closed two months. Now she may never go back to work. Her downtown is a wreck. Now her life is ruined as well to what end??
The situation is horrifying. I appreciate you addressing it. But the answers are not in a blog. They are in all of us to look deep inside and not put up with random violence. This is outrageous. I cant be totally kind and I cant be quiet. I worked in TV news for 30 years. Until you are on the front lines, you have not experienced the terror of out of control people. Violence against violence yields nothing…I have been attacked while reporting….you don’t have to put this on your site. It is to you, who I read and admire. Im older but think you are quite awesome. I’ve just had more experience in life. Best.

  2. So glad you are able to enjoy the outdoors! I’m sure you’ve been feeling cooped up a little as everyone else feels these days. Also loving the white pieces you’ve been styling lately, it’s such a crisp and refreshing look for summer days ahead. Nothing beats a nice linen fabric for the hotter months.
