Everyone has a favorite color.
I, on the other hand, can be pretty indecisive in this department.
However, I do know that I favor cooler colors.
(Well, and white. I own a lot of white.)
Shades of greens and blues.
Mint.
Cerulean.
Aqua.
Teal.
Cobalt blue.
Let’s stop there.
Without even really knowing it until recently,
it’s been a favorite color of mine for years.
In college,
I was always super jealous of students who attended University of Kentucky
or fans of the Indianapolis Colts.
Why?
Because!
As a girl who loves to shop,
I become green with envy,
and my mind (very naturally) comes to
“They have so many more outfit options with those colors!”
Just being honest.
[[I’d like to take a second and pat myself on the back here **pat, pat, pat** because, I am just as equally a girl who grew up loving the game of football, and became a self-professed, loud & proud University of Florida Gator and Jacksonville Jaguar fan …
… so that was really hard to admit.]]
And, now,
as I’m about to enter into the latter part of my 20’s on Monday
(ugh)
I still find myself crushing on cobalt.
My favorite long cotton jersey dress? Cobalt.
My favorite loose-fitting off the shoulder blouse? Cobalt.
The color of the purse from J. Crew that is currently at the top of my “lust list”? Cobalt.
I just can’t get enough.
My cousin, Justin, and his now wife, Nicci,
got married in Jacksonville last October,
and when shopping around for a dress,
I ventured over to J. Crew
“just to look”
and walked out with …
the Allie Dress.
Classic.
Rich color.
Beautifully cut.
Amazing lines.
Pockets.
(yes! pockets!!!)
SWOON.
I wore it a little bit differently to their wedding,
which I’ll likely showcase at a later date,
but, being that it’s February,
I paired it with
a striped turtleneck,
a statement necklace,
and leopard heels.
Just another way to make your winter wardrobe
bright, FUN, and “blue”-tiful!
With LOVE & sequins,
Haley
