Hi there! Happy, Happy Valentine’s Day! Here on the East Coast, this controversial holiday has come and gone, but I did not want it to pass without sharing this outfit that I put together in its honor.
Valentine’s Day — or Single’s Awareness Day as I have called it before — and I have had our qualms in the past. Rough break-ups and droughts in the single prospect ponds can get even the strongest and best of us down. But, if there is one thing that I have stood by over the years, it’s this quote: “I believe in the sun when it’s not shining, in love when I am alone, and in God when He is silent.”
With that said, I can’t completely dislike a holiday that celebrates the idea of love, that deep feeling of affection that we are all looking for. Whether we have found it or are still waiting for that serendipitous moment to sweep us off our feet and change us forever, I hope that you all found something to LOVE about your Valentine’s Day.
Okay, on to my next love: THIS OUTFIT! I love it because it incorporates spring and summer styles into your winter wardrobe: bright colors & the maxi skirt. At this point in the winter, I know most people are getting to the point where they are just grabbing the warmest articles of clothing, no matter the color. But if you are wanting to change it up, put together two bright colors, and see how it feels! It’s the perfect way to make a statement, get noticed and beat the winter blues!
