but i’m okay with being the first:
what have you walked through that has lead you to guilt, fear, shame, doubt?

i’m really excited about the necklace that i’m wearing today
because the women that made it have gone through hell and back,
experiencing the darkest of days and the hardest of struggles, literally unimaginable to most of us.
they conquered their guilt, fear, shame, doubt … brought on by addiction, prostitution, trafficking …
by holding on to the hope and promise that lies in knowing Jesus Christ.
a mention of Jesus? that’s not something you see on a style blog everyday.
i know, but you’ll live. keep reading.
a sweet friend of mine from Nashville, Whitney,
told me about her friend, Gracie, who owns Miriam-Designs.
she (Gracie) employs these wonderful, God-fearing women,
who share a love and passion for making jewelry that promotes hope,
the very thing that helped bring them to restoration and redemption.
now, i don’t know your story.
i don’t know what you’ve walked through.
but i know i haven’t walked through things as unimaginable
as addiction, prostitution, trafficking, and the bondage that that can lead to,
and i can’t pretend anything i have come to struggle with is anything comparable.
but i can imagine it isn’t an easy road to recover from,
