Y’all. Florida’s spring has been SO weird. We have had more cold weather days this winter and spring than, I think, we’ve had in the last two years combined. The clouds finally parted and the temperatures were moderately tolerable yesterday, so I threw on one of my ‘oldie-but-goodie’ sweaters from GAP, some distressed skinny jeans (got these at such a great price), and, my newest obsession, this new Old Navy camo jacket. Whenever I pair multiple muted colors and patterns, I like to add a pop of color, hence the bright red necklace. BaubleBar just came out with this amazing purple color in their necklace that is similar. The red/coral color is still available, as well.
Necklace layering is something that I’ve been playing with since the holidays. Typically, I’ll pair two complimentary statement necklaces, but I’ve been really drawn to adding more dainty, personalized necklaces to my collection lately. I’ve grown particularly fond of this gorgeous, gold sideways initial necklace by Love Always, a jewelry company that specializes in customized items. So, let’s talk about that … If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time, you have probably gathered that I’m southern (with the liberal use of the word “y’all” – it is a word) but, until recently, you would never see me sporting a monogram (gasp!). I am undoubtedly weird about personalized items. I can get into trendy things, clearly, but I don’t like typical. I like different. I like a piece that stands out.
