rSTheCon | DAY ONE

If you follow me on any social media platform, I am almost positive you are aware that I was in Dallas over the weekend for the Reward Style Conference, or #rStheCon. I was happy to be reunited with Danielle, from JustDandy, who is always my trusty, and more timely, travel buddy for these events. We just don’t get to see each other enough, even though we live a mile from each other!
I can’t resist cozy and casual on a travel day, and can’t ever forget a light jacket, like this utility one! I’m always cold!

Danielle and I made it safely to the hotel and, after checking in and unpacking a little, we decided to venture out. We grabbed margaritas & chips and salsa with Beth from Seersucker + Saddles and Krystin from Suburban FauxPas! Sitting and chatting with such sweet company was such a perfect start to the weekend!

After coming very close to an emotional breakdown over a few wardrobe malfunctions (like burning a hole in one dress with an iron and realizing I forgot almost all of my purse options at home), I finally settled on this ASOS Petite Sleeveless Dress with Ruffle Hem for the first day of the conference. I’m so thankful I was able to pull something together last minute and I love that it was one that allowed me to showcase my love of statement jewelry and fun heels!
The brand suite was amazing and I’m so excited about some amazing possibilities in store for Sequins and Things in this next year!

It’s never too early for a mimosa!

It was so nice to finally meet Christine from View From 5 Ft. 2! Not only do I love her blog, but her and I seem to have the craziest connections. We know so many of the same people and neither of our hometown’s are anywhere near each other! It was crazy and so fun to see how small the world really is!
After a busy morning, we were pumped for lunch at the flagship Neiman Marcus store in Dallas. The set up throughout was absolutely gorgeous with shades of pink, gold and white and little sliders and pizza’s to enjoy! I was also introduced to FluffPops, which were seriously life changing. Portion controlled, gluten free, all natural, vegan cotton candy that actually tastes good? Yeah, I’m sold.
I absolutely love these girls, Danielle and Ashley [from SideSmileStyle] and had such a fun afternoon with them!

That wraps up our travel day and a good majority of Day 1 of the conference. I’ll be sharing full outfit details for what I wore to the Kate Spade New York Happy Hour next on the blog, so stay tuned!
