I sure do love my hometown of Jacksonville, but one thing that it has always lacked is my favorite department store, Nordstrom! The closest one now is Tampa and that is a FOUR HOUR drive. Although worth it, it’s not a venture I can make often. Last year, it was announced that Nordstrom would be coming to Jacksonville in October 2014. I have been anxiously awaiting this day ever since! Last night, I was graciously invited to attend Nordstrom Jacksonville’s Opening Gala benefitting three local charities Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital, Cathedral Arts Project, and Junior League of Jacksonville. Since it was cocktail attire, and a huge celebration for this girl, I pulled out this gorgeous Camilyn Beth number! To say that I’m obsessed with this dress would be a complete understatement! [I mean, hello! It had me at sequins!] It runs true to size and would be absolutely perfect for holiday parties! [Want the dress but need a bra? I wore this one and it was perfect!] Overall, the night was amazing! I had so much fun checking out the new store, mingling with familiar faces and meeting new ones, and of course, SHOPPING! Ha! This is pretty much what it’s like when I go shopping. I touch and try on everything! [Sales associates — in general, not in Nordstrom — constantly ask me “if I need help” with anything, but really in their head I know they’re thinking “I just straightened that, back up off my neatly folded stack“.] Last night, they offered Gala guests Triple Points on purchases, which made me oh-so-thankful that I am a Nordstrom Debit Card holder! As a Nordstrom card holder, you accrue points on purchases that then turn into Nordstrom Notes, which is a gift certificate to use on future purchases. So … when I hear Triple Points, it’s game over. It’s time to invest in items I have been saving for and only buy what I know I will style a lot during the season ahead, because you’ll get more money back on those big purchases! I cannot wait to share some styled looks with these new goods!
