I wore this flowy white dress for our first night out in Italy and it might accompany me on my next three summers’ worth of vacations / holidays! It’s currently 20% off with code OMG20!
The adorable smock dress I wore to dinner last night is currently 20% off with code 20HUN [making it $35] and comes in regular, tall, plus, and petite sizing! I love when I find great pieces at affordable prices that everyone, no matter our body type, can snag!
I wore this darling off the shoulder dress to Victoria’s welcome drinks event in the charming and colorful Italian coastal town of Camogli and I cannot wait to wear again!
So, what did we think of the dress? Not mine….Victoria’s! ha! Stunning right?! Although, if you are looking for an evening dress for an upcoming wedding, mine was super comfortable and is currently 20% off with code 20HUN!
ICYMI: Last week, on AlysonHaley.com, I shared the answer to the most commonly asked question I get in regard to London: where to stay. This photo is from 2017, but I was able to find an almost exact turtleneck here, to the one I am wearing!
This neon coral dress is so fun to sport in the Summer and I love the swing silhouette. It comes in a bunch of colors and is currently 20% off with code OMG20! I have it in orange, coral, and red.
Did you catch my post on Five Things to Remember for Summer Travel in Italy? This swimsuit helped me make a big splash and keep cool in this heat! I absolutely love the colors in it! Enjoy 15% off with code ALYSONH15!
So glad I brought this comfy maxi dress to walk around this colorful town in. It helped me stay cool and is only $21! Comes in tons of colors!
To lay under one of these orange and turquoise beach umbrellas, and to swim around the stand alone rock is a moment I won’t soon forget, I am still pinching myself! This bikini top is one of my favorites I brought on this trip. It gives great support while adding a touch of sass!
Bookmark this post for later, as I covered a few of my favorite places to eat while in Cinque Terre. I also added a few of my staple camisoles that I loved to wear on warmer weather days while exploring!
This Weeks’ FAQ’s
Do you know there’s a hurricane heading toward Florida? Are the boys okay?
Yes! While I have been enjoying my time abroad, I’m not completely naive to what’s going on in the world, especially at home hah! 🙂 I have been getting updates from my assistant, friends, and parents everyday. I fly back Wednesday and will adjust as needed based on how things change over the next couple of days. But, the boys are safe and will be through the storm. My dog sitter has plenty of food and water for them, and tons of green beans for Chips 😉
What app do you use for your IG stories?
Have you heard the new Taylor Swift ‘London Boy’ song?
Ha, this is has certainly been the message I’ve received the most this week! I have heard it. It’s a cute song and I certainly love certain lyrics … other lyrics I find to be really funny. Personally, I can’t see how anyone could love walking through Camden Market, ha! It is madness!! But, overall, cute song and I certainly love my London boy! 🙂
When you travel, is it difficult to order food from restaurants? Is there a language barrier?
It’s usually pretty easy. Most Italians speak a little bit of English. I know how to ask for the bill in Italian so that’s always really easy: “Posso avere il conto per favore?”
Just curious, once you do make the long awaited move to London will the content of your blog become more London oriented as far as clothing, makeup, and home decor products go? Or will we still be able to shop your site here in the states?
It’s hard to say how things will change. I won’t refuse to cover and work with U.K. brands because that limits me from growing an audience here but, I also won’t completely forget about the fact that my audience is 95% American! I will aim to serve as many people that follow me, as possible. Even if something is linked to a U.K. site doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t order it. There are a lot of retailers here that offer free shipping to the U.S. and it doesn’t take any longer than ordering something via free shipping at Nordstrom would take. So, I think it’s important to keep your mind open to new brands you may not be as familiar with but I will still aim to feature brands I’ve featured for years! Hope that makes sense 🙂
