Hi there, lovelies! I hope you were all able to get your Christmas shopping done before shipping costs went sky high! I finished mine up yesterday. I seriously wonder if I’ll ever be one of those girls that is done with Christmas shopping and wrapping a week or two before the actual holiday so there’s nothing to really worry about other than cooking and entertaining. I wish SO BADLY that was me, but …. this year, it definitely isn’t! Ha! And that’s okay! I wrapped some gifts last night and packed for my long drive up to a cozy cabin in the mountains to spend Christmas with my family. We love venturing somewhere cold this time of year and it is a little warmer than I thought it’d be but, regardless, I’m excited to throw on cozy sweaters and leggings and just R E L A X. I want to finish reading my book and watch all my favorite Christmas movies …. and eat a bunch of delicious food!! It’s going to be so good!
I wore this outfit yesterday as I was running all of my last minute errands before the holiday. I’m sharing it because it is essentially – more or less – the type of outfit I wear when I need to just GSD or am going to be traveling all day. I have been waiting to wear these faux leather leggings since I snagged them during the Shopbop Black Friday Sale! They have lived up to every expectation! I’m obsessed! They have a fleece lining so they are super warm and really comfortable, as well! There were quite a few people who stopped me to ask where they were from. I think the moto detail really gives the look a little unexpected pop! This Nike sweatshirt is pretty long but not long enough to wear over leggings so I threw on this black and white stripe top, a great basic for only $12! I’m wearing an XS in the sweatshirt. Oh! And, I ordered this beanie in the beige color you see on the product page and I got this blue one in the mail, which isn’t a color option, so I’m not sure what the deal was with that. If you want the one I’m wearing, I think it’d be safe to order it from that link, too. Just a head’s up because the product page definitely looks different than what they sent me!
Hey, I just wanted to send a little love to anyone reading who have had a really tough year or are hurting over family stuff this year. Listen, that’s valid. And it is really hard to deal with all the things you’re going through but, I promise you, you can make it through and the best is yet to come. Have faith!
If you’re traveling today, please be careful! Hope you get to where you’re going safely and smoothly. My fingers are crossed for clear roads up to the mountains …. not sure if that’s going to be the case but one can hope!
Have a great day, y’all! xo.
