Hello, lovelies! How is your week starting out? As some of y’all know, I flew out to Dallas on Sunday afternoon to surprise my best friend, which was super fun and exciting to plan and execute. There have been some unexpected changes in her life recently, and when that happens, some people just need their people to hold your hand through it. I have been in tears over just how thankful I am that the Lord has made it possible for me to be here with her and for her. He sure is good, and I know He will be glorified through the things she is going through. He’s always working and it’s never to punish us.

So, we have tackled some dark subjects, and cried a lot, but we have definitely done our share of creating our own sunshine, which I think is always important — but definitely harder to do when you’re struggling. That’s where girlfriends come in! Sunday night, we went for Mexican and margaritas. Today, we meandered through the book store, played with puppies, and picked up cupcakes and champagne then watched the big Bachelor finale last night while chowing down on pizza. [Can you believe what they are doing for the next season of the Bachelorette?]

Dallas’ weather needs to get it together, though … It’s been so gross! Clearly, from the looks of this outfit, I am dreaming of sunshine. While, I’m very aware of my need for a tan [just WAIT until you see tomorrow’s post; Casper makes an appearance!] … I just couldn’t resist this fun and flirty orange dress! I think it would be super fun to pair with a full midi skirt over it, like this one, or just wear it as is, like I am here. My style challenge for y’all is to embrace a color that you wouldn’t normally and REALLY give it a try. That’s what I’ve been doing with orange lately, and now I’m just obsessed and so drawn to it. 🙂

Alright, now that I’ve chatted your ear off … I’m gonna go! Hope you have a great day, and thanks so much for stopping by. If you feel led, feel free to leave a great quote or bible verse that you turn to when you’re really struggling. I’d love to hear it! xo.

With love & sequins,
Haley

There are a few versus I try to focus on: Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight.

Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Philippians 4:6-7 as mentioned by Hannah above

Finally, this one is a quote I found somewhere, "Whenever you don't understand what's happening in your life, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and say, 'God I know it's your plan, just help me through it.'"

Girl, you are definitely not pale. I would kill for your skin right now. Also, it's really amazing of you to hop on a plane and head to Dallas. I'm sure that meant the world to your friend. And the new season of The Bachelorette, well, I hate the idea!

Philippians 4:6–Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for what He has done.
This verse provides so much comfort for me and helps me realize that I'm not the one in control, no matter how badly I wan to be. Praying for comfort and peace for your friend.

This is "my verse" and I look to it whenever I am having moments of weakness …. Proverbs 16:3 – Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. ….. We should remember that his strength shows in our weakness and that like you said, it is all for his glory.
