I absolutely love to travel, but there can be a lot of unexpected delays that totally cramp any excitement you’ve built up about your trip. With that said, it is absolutely imperative that I’m in something comfortable on travel days. There’s nothing worse than experiencing an inconvenience at the airport then having to sit around in something uncomfortable. I don’t care if this look isn’t glamorous … it’s real life.
This tunic is currently filed under: Haley’s favorite thing. I have been wearing it around my house every chance I get … it’s too big on me but I like it that way. They didn’t have an XS in the store so I went ahead and bought the Small, then ordered the Petite XS online. I haven’t gotten it in the mail yet, but I’m honestly going to return it when I get it because I like it oversized. It’s perfect for a Sunday on the couch with your husband or roommate, or for studying for an exam in the library, or traveling to see your best friends! And, best part … it’s under $50!
So … I’m a little scared to breach the topic of UGGS. I know they’re quite controversial, and most consider them a fashion faux pas. However, I like them and I’ll wear them. [Heck, I owe them for saving this Florida girl’s life when she lived in Colorado and had to take Fish outside in negative degree temp’s!] I won’t judge you for liking them and wearing them, too … as long as you don’t wear them when 1. it’s not cold out or 2. with jean shorts. Those are my rules. Just like you should never wear leggings without a shirt or tunic that covers your front and backside. [I’m serious, it makes me cringe and experience secondhand embarrassment] Anyway, I like the ones I’m wearing. I almost wish I had gotten them in black, but I have so much black … I was trying to spread my wings a little bit. What do you think? I wish they had them in a camel color. Ugh, swoon.
Anyway, I wore this outfit yesterday on my way out to Colorado. I’m so excited to be reunited with my best friend, Susanna ! We met back in high school but didn’t get to really know each other until we were in the same sorority in college. We lived together multiple times throughout college, and I lived with her in Denver after college, as well. Her friendship is one of my most precious blessings. It’s so wonderful to have a best friend who feels like a sister, like home, and whose family feels like a very very close second to your own.
