Ask anyone that has known me for years … I am not a shorts person. I’ve always been naturally tiny and was subject to lots of cruel words and assumptions growing up. So, I wear jeans a lot, even in the dead of summer due to the “chicken leg” insecurity my youth left me with. It made me want to hide my petite stature. I have challenged myself in the last couple years to wear more skirts & shorts and just own the way God made me. In the book of Psalms, it says: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” It’s important that we realize how beautiful we are in God’s eyes and that He made us just the way we are, intentionally. I hope that if you are struggling with any insecurity that you read this and know that He wants you to rest in that. Make it a great Monday, y’all!
wear red lipstick, and don’t let people be mean to you.”
