Hii! Happy Friday! This lightweight, loose-fitting pink blouse from Chicwish is a recent favorite. I would normally wear a pair of skinny jeans with them but, since it’s been so hot, I decided to go for a pair of boyfriend fit, distressed denim shorts. These run a little big but I think they are so cute!
On the Bachelorette’s Men Tell All on Monday, Chris Harrison and Kaitlyn touched on something that bloggers fall victim to at times: cyber bullying. I’d like to encourage you to read this article. I really, really enjoyed what Kaitlyn had to say about it. I know from experience, that it is EXTREMELY hurtful when people hurl their opinions out there about things that you have said, worn, or how you’ve dealt with something, etc. For that reason, I purposefully keep myself from seeking out opportunities to read negativity. It’s not healthy at all. I have a very small circle of close friends and family, and those few people are the people who are allowed to speak constructive, life giving advice into my life. So, I just want to join Kaitlyn in encouraging you to think about what you say on social media. If you don’t like someone … if what they do or who they are annoys you to the point that it brings up insecurities within yourself and / or encourages you to be a less than respectable human being …. put some healthy boundaries up and be intentional about maintaining them. Unfollow them. Don’t visit their site. Don’t watch their show. Etc. We’re not all meant to agree, but we are meant to love one another. And, sometimes … the best kind of love you can give someone is to just leave them alone.
NOTE: This isn’t me speaking out because of something that was said about me in particular. I honestly haven’t struggled with other people’s negativity in a long time, but I remember that hurt and know that this issue needs to be brought up more. xo.
For the most part, I have the sweetest gals who come and visit my site so I want to thank you so much for that. I appreciate y’all so very much! I hope y’all have the best weekend, and if you have any questions about cyber-bullying or what I said above, I’d love to answer those.
Thanks for stopping by! xo.
