So, I went to the mall the other day …
(Ha … I feel like every Friday’s post could start out this way and I wouldn’t be lying)
… and I know I had a point to being there,
probably a very meaningless point,
but a point nonetheless.
I wandered into The Limited,
as I was on my hunt.
And, I don’t know about you,
but when I think of The Limited,
I think “work wear”, “business attire”, etc.
And my “work wear” / “business attire”
can be bought at a local scrub store,
so I kind of write off “The Limited”.
I don’t see a point in torturing my easily swayed impulses
when I have an almost 100% chance of buying something
I won’t get a lot of use out of.
But then … this little beauty changed my mind.
Ladies
(and gentlemen? I’ll include them, just to be safe),
I introduce to you
a VERY similar rendition of a J.Crew sweater
that was out a couple years back that
I loved but never bought.
And I regret it every time
my favorite style blogger,
Blair Eadie Bee of Atlantic-Pacific
styles it perfectly into one of her daily masterpieces.

I know, I know.
It’s almost Spring.
Why buy a sweater?
I’ll tell you why.
Because
later on
in December
when everyone and their mom
is mixing and matching outfits
with sequins and bright red skirts
for holiday get togethers and the Christmas Eve service
you’re going to wish you had this stowed away from
that one time you wandered into The Limited
and walked out with a sweater in March,
Take a deep breath.
I promise, I support you in this.
Yes, the price tag almost gave me a heart attack, too.
I have to tell you:
The Friday Find has surprised me this week.
Up until about ten minutes ago,
I had every intention of re-defining the Friday Find.
For lack of a better find,
I was going to feature this beauty,
and then when we got to the price,
I would then attest to the fact that a ‘find’
isn’t necessarily always going to mean
it’s a great price or a good steal,
but rather that it could also mean that it is a
“show stopper”,
a find that gets people’s attention,
and every time you wear it,
everyone asks you where you got it.
(which I do agree with,
but who doesn’t love a good price, too?)
