OUTFIT REWIND

Hey there!
I’ve had a lot of questions
with this past week’s outfit posts on Instagram,
so I thought I’d throw together an Outfit Rewind post for y’all!
[outfits are listed in descending order from time posted on Instagram]
***
Yesterday was the first day of Spring.
It was cold and rainy here.
I hope that’s not a precursor to what
our Spring has in store.
Can’t be.
This is Florida.
Despite the weather,
I was still determined to properly bring in Spring
by sporting some bright colors.
I didn’t have to work yesterday, so
I cozied up one of my favorite long-sleeve tee’s
after I finished running some morning errands.
It’s one of my favorite basics.
Every girl should have one.
I linked a few similar ones to mine below.
The mailman rewarded me for rebelling against the weather,
and wearing bright colors to celebrate Spring anyway,
by delivering a certain long-awaited package.
I FINALLY got to introduce the rest of my usual arm party
to its newest addition, Stella & Dot’s infamous “Renegade” bracelet.
I’ve only wanted it for a year,
but for one reason or another,
kept putting off buying it,
and now she’s finally mine!
 Long Sleeve Shirt: J. Crew {similar here and here} | Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelets (from top to bottom): J. Crew Factory
Yesterday morning,
I had a class to attend at work
so I threw on the first thing I was drawn to.
When I have to be up early
(haley’s definition of early: any time before 8AM),
and I’m getting dressed for whatever it is,
really, my first thought is JEANS.
(I’m a creature of comfort, remember?)
And, then, if it’s appropriate for the occasion
that I am dressing for … it’s usually what I default to.
 Below is the rest of what I came up with …
… perfect for sitting in a class, then running a couple errands.
 Striped Shirt: J. Crew, old {similar here} | Jeans: H&M | Sequin Flats: Target
Necklace: Anthropologie, old {similar herehere, and here}
I threw on a leopard print tank
to run Fish up to the vet to get a nail trim on Tuesday.
Anyone surprised?
Didn’t think so.
Leopard Tank: Forever 21, last summer {similar here}
Hot Pink Cross Body Bag: J. Crew, old {similar here, here, and here}
Watch: Michael Kors | Chain Link Bracelet: J. Crew Factory

To celebrate not having to work this past weekend,
and the fact that my sweet friend, Danielle (aka Shop Dandy)
and I were both in town at the same time,
we had a little girls night out on Saturday night.
It’s so easy to just wear black when you’re deciding what to wear out,
so I threw on a fun necklace to liven it up a little bit.
The great thing about this outfit
is you can wear heels and dress it up,
or wear sandals to dress it down.

This necklace has been on repeat this week.
I realize this.
I can’t help it.
If anything,
it should be seen as a good thing.
It means I splurged on the right necklace.
I’m getting a lot of wear out of it,
which should be the deciding factor in any ‘splurge’
(remember “Art Collecting”?).

Black Peplum Top: Urban Outfitters
Black Skirt: Urban Outfitters, old {newer version, same brand here}
Necklace: Anthropologie, old {similar herehere, and here}
If you have any questions, please feel free to comment.
I love to read them, and I usually respond within a day or two.
I hope that y’all have had a great day so far!

With LOVE & sequins,
Haley

“Your journey has molded you for your greater good,
and it was exactly what it needed to be.
Don’t think that you’ve lost time.
It took each and every situation you have encountered
to bring you to the now.
And now is right on time.”
