So, I went to Target the other day …
(You know where this is going by now.)
… and I looked around for awhile,
not feeling particularly drawn or inspired by anything I’m seeing.
They had tons of new things
that I hadn’t seen before.
It had actually been a few weeks since I meandered
through the women’s department,
which was as much of a shocking mental discovery for me
as was the physical discovery of this gorgeous skirt
that was hanging toward the back on the wall.
I grabbed one of two of the colors available,
and headed for the dressing room.
I don’t know that I share this insecurity with anyone else,
but I absolutely despise my chicken legs.
So, in the Spring and Summer,
I am much more prone to buy a maxi skirt or dress,
something long, flowy and girly,
in order to keep cool.
So, needless to say,
I was drooling when I saw this skirt.
It’s made out of polyester
(whoa, I’m really selling it by mentioning that, I know)
but it’s so soft and I love the shine that it adds to it.
Being that it’s at Target,
the other great thing about this skirt is the price.
It’s $24.99,
and it comes in three different colors:
coral, olive green and black.
I grabbed the coral and olive green,
but, seriously, may go back for the black
for those summer night outings.
It’s seriously already warmed up so much here
in the last week, that I have no doubt
that these will be in full rotation … starting now.
But hey, at least I’ll be beating the heat in style!
There are so many ways to wear
this skirt, especially with the color selection being so diverse.
I’m trying to keep everything bright and fun,
so the coral was an obvious choice,
but there are some great ways to incorporate brights into an outfit
with the hunter green so I couldn’t resist it. I’m excited!
