One of the best parts of my job is receiving the opportunity to work with companies that I’ve heard of but haven’t yet tried out on my own. It’s always a great way to challenge myself to think outside the box stylistically. Today, I’ve teamed up with Hush Puppies, one of those brands I hadn’t explored yet, to share a look in their new ‘it bootie’, called the Cyra Catelyn, also known as my new ‘sole mate’! [#sopunny]

The Cyra Catelyn booties are unlike any other shoe I own. They’re made of Worry-Free suede® with genuine leather lining. Gotta love a shoe that’s well made and will resist any harsh Fall weather you may come into contact with! These booties come in EIGHT colors, y’all … and they’re all so beautiful! I had a hard time choosing but ended up going with navy blue. I don’t have any shoes that color and felt like, for me, they’d get the most wear based on the colors I normally wear. I found these booties to be very comfortable, as well. I wear a 6.5, and they fit well but I think I’d go up half a size if you were definitely going to want to wear socks with them. My favorite part about them though? The tassel ties! [#precious]

Plaid is a pattern you can find me in on most Fall days. I’m all about effortless style, and I think that’s why a button-up is my go-to. The colors in this plaid button-up by Rails were the perfect compliment to my new Cyra Catelyn booties, as are quite a few of my other plaid options, like this dress and this other plaid. The best compliment to my new sole mates, however, HAS to be my actual soul mate … yes, you guessed it, that adorable dachshund you see in today’s blog post photo’s.

If you’re new to following me, I’m more than happy to introduce you to my dog named Fish. I met that handsome mug five years ago and we’ve been inseparable ever since. He was abandoned in a neighborhood close to a veterinarian clinic that I worked in throughout nursing school, and I offered to foster him while the lady who found him looked for his owner. When no one claimed him, I quickly called him mine. He’s clearly the cutest, but beyond that … he’s the best mix of spunky and snuggly. Seriously, the sweetest thing and I’m so thankful to have had him go through the up’s and down’s of the last five years with me 🙂
