Hello, friends! I am so excited you have decided to join me today to hear more about our recent engagement! In case you missed it, I shared on Sunday that JOHN AND I ARE ENGAGED! I know some of you are, like .. ‘well, it’s about time!’ .. hah! As many of you know, we have been very adamant about not letting societal norms or anyone else’s timeline deter us from staying on our own path. This hasn’t really been out of defiance or being so set on being different but, moreso, on being realistic about where we need to put our money and completely happy & content with us as partners. We have always been so confident that we have met our match. I always feel like those types of sayings make it seem as though life is bliss-filled all the time – and y’all know I like to keep it really real around here – so, let me also say this. Like everyone, we are certainly imperfect and we have had our share of challenges but, those challenges always encourage you to put in the work in order to level up to your potential. It’s been great to see that, while it’s not always fun [although we do have a lot of that!], we are both equally as willing to look at the hard stuff to reap the rewards.
