Hello, hello! While there’s still time, I thought I’d share some Valentine’s Day outfit inspiration for any of you lucky ladies who are going out on a nice little date night with your someone special! This skirt is super soft and has a flattering shape to it. It’s a little hard to tell in these photo’s but the skirt is a very light grey color and actually a knit material. Wait. Wait. Wait! Keep reading … Okay, I’m going to be honest … I was a little turned off about this at first because, from the product photo on the website, I thought I was buying a really nice quality skirt, right? BUT … after I tried it on and styled it, I completely changed my mind! Now, I actually love that it’s a comfortable material but looks so much nicer! It offers it a certain versatility a nicer skirt might not have. You can dress this one up or down, so definitely consider it if you’re in the market for a new skirt!
For a Valentine’s Day date night look, I decided to pair it with a lightweight, simple red sweater that I’ve had in my closet for awhile. Solid colored crewnecks are always my ‘go-to’ because you can easily pair it with a statement necklace that you may already have in your collection. J.Crew’s Tippi Sweater is a great option, and the one I’m wearing in these photo’s. However, I found a really similar one for cheaper than the one I’m wearing HERE.
I really shouldn’t classify this outfit as one that only gal’s with signifiant others have because it’s simply NOT the case. I would wear this out to dinner with girlfriends, so really … this works for anyone! I just wouldn’t wear this to the movies. I like to bust out my leggings and a big sweatshirt for that 😉
