Hey there, friends! Happy Monday! Today, I’m going to be talking a little bit about something most of you know about and something some of you have always scratched your head over … LIKEtoKNOW.it! Regardless of which category you fall into, I have a little something for everyone in this post. I usually aim for my posts to inspire you, but the aim for todays is to educate you but I promise your mind will be blown by the end of it so, it’ll be a great lesson!

Up until now, LIKEtoKNOW.it has been a free service that allows consumers to easily shop their favorite digital influencers Instagram’s by simply ‘liking’ the photos they see in their feed that capture their attention. If that photo is enabled with LIKEtoKNOW.it [indicated through a threesome toward the end of the photo caption that looks similar to this: @liketoknow.it http://liketk.it/5xs6b #liketkit], the service sends you an email with ready-to-shop product links within 5-15 minutes of that double-tap. If you are having trouble receiving emails or don’t want to wait for an email, you can access product details by entering the middle of the three in the trio [the one that I’ve bolded in blue] is an actual hyperlink, or link, that you can enter into a web browser like Safari or Chrome on your laptop, desktop or mobile device. Once you’ve entered it, you’ll need to login to the LIKEtoKNOW.it service to then have access to the links. It’s often hard for people to realize it’s a link because [1] the URL ends in .it instead of .com and [2] it’s not clickable within the photo description because Instagram only allows a live link to live on the main profile page of each person’s profile. If you don’t want to sign up for LIKEtoKNOW.it but still want outfit details from my Instagram photos, you can go to the main page of the blog, scroll down until you see ‘Shop My Instagram’ on the right-hand sidebar and click one of the most recent photos that you want details on. However, only the latest four Instagram’s are featured there so, if that’s how you want to utilize the service, know that time is of the essence.

In 2014, not long after the service launched, there were many questions regarding the service so, to tackle those, I wrote an entire post explaining what LIKEtoKNOW.it is, why I think it’s great for me and for you, and how to sign up. So many of you utilize the service every day and absolutely love it! However, the biggest thing that has prohibited some people from signing up was the way the service communicated via email. There was concern that your inbox would become even more overloaded than it already is. But, the great thing is … as time has gone on, the geniuses behind LIKEtoKNOW.it have made many improvements based on that feedback and there are actually some new ways you can use the service without ever getting an email!

I’m so excited to help introduce …. the brand new LIKEtoKNOW.it app that allows you to shop your favorite digital influencers content on Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Pinterest, etc. through screenshot technology. You can download it from the Apple Store here.

I have had a chance to play around on the app and it is incredible! Once you have downloaded the app, connected your Instagram to it, allowed the app to access your screenshots [only the ones that are LTK enabled] and you screenshot a post within Instagram … you will get a push notification within a few second at the top of your screen stating that ‘Your screenshot by _____ is ready to shop!’. You can then opt to go to the LIKEtoKNOW.it app to immediately shop the post!

Another cool thing is that you can still LIKE the photo [the same as you always have] and it’ll populate into the same feed within the LIKEtoKNOW.it app as your screenshots. You can also delete the screenshots from your photo album without it deleting from your feed! Pretty handy! The email service is still enabled, but if you want to change your email preferences [to no longer receive them] you can do so within your account settings on LIKEtoKNOW.it‘s website.

Your favorite influencers can also enable their Snapchat, Pinterest and Facebook content with LTK, as well. You will see a small watermark of the LTK logo in the bottom corner of the content as a visual cue that that photo is screenshot enabled. The screenshot technology is key for those posts. Likes won’t get you the details you’re wanting 🙂 All Instagram posts with the usual LTK threesome within the photo description are screenshot enabled, as well, but the influencer doesn’t necessarily have to add the watermark to the photo.

It’s all very simple, easy to use and self-explanatory really but … within the app, you’ll find a Frequently Asked Questions page [tap on the little screw symbol at the top right hand side of the app to go into your settings, then scroll to the bottom] that I highly encourage everyone read! It’s an amazing resource. I know a lot about this service and understood the app pretty well, and STILL found it super helpful!

Also, be sure to check out this video that was put together by the LTK team to help you get the gist a little more! I’m really blown away by how much easier this will make shopping our Instagram’s will be for you but, as always, if you ever have questions on how something fits or what color lip gloss I’m wearing … don’t be a stranger!
