The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens for everyone on FRIDAYYYY! There are so many great deals and I’ve styled a few of my favorites – and not-so-favorites – for you guys to check out before you make your purchases! I think I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again … don’t be discouraged if the item you click on is sold out! Nordstrom typically reserves stock of popular items for the public sale launch so make a list of the MUST-HAVE’S that you want to check on Friday morning and you should see that. I’m not saying EVERYTHING will be restocked – or then the Early Access wouldn’t be as special as it is – but there are a lot of things that will be 🙂

This cashmere turtleneck sweater is super cozy, fits true to size and comes in multiple color options. It’s still a bit pricey because it’s cashmere but, if you live somewhere really cold during the Fall and Winter, I would recommend making the investment! I have multiple cashmere pieces from this brand and they do it very well.
These beautiful suede over-the-knee boots are one of the best deals of the sale. They retail for over $800 and they are marked down to $500. I have this exact same pair but they’re flat, with no heel. See how I styled them in London HERE and in Germany HERE. They stretch to fit your calf and are really flattering on most, even short gals such as myself! This plaid button-up top runs true to size. It’s supposed to be a little bit oversized. I’m wearing my normal size, XS, here but typically I go one more size up so I can easily wear these easily with leggings.

This bib top is so flattering. It runs true to size. It’s super cute but, obviously, might not be necessary if you have some other basics that you need to buy and would get more use out of.

Zella and Nike are two of my favorite athleisure brands and these are my favorite pieces from those brands that are a part of the sale. All of these items run true to size. I actually typically wear an XXS in their leggings but got an XS and they fit perfectly!

I can’t recommend these jeans enough. I got the same version, with a tiny bit more distressing, last year. I wear them ALL the time and if y’all ever catch me wearing them in Snapchat or IG stories, I always get questions about them. I’m so excited that these are back so y’all can take advantage. They’re relaxed boyfriend fit jeans, but aren’t too baggy! They run true to size and are under $70!
There are two cashmere wraps included in the sale and this is the one that I think is the best value. It’s the longer one and it’s really warm. You can wear it as a wrap or a scarf and comes in multiple colors! This is the cheaper one of the two as well so … #winning!

These stripe PJ pants are super soft. They run a bit big because they’re XS is designed to fit a size 2 instead of a 00/0. I’d go one size down because that’s not typically how the size scale goes. Refer to the product page for the accurate size guide. I’m wearing an XS but would have gone down to an XXS had that been an available option.

I’m wearing Paige Denim’s Hoxton High-Waisted Skinny Jean. Personally, I think they fit great, despite the length, but I will be returning them because I like a couple of the other jeans included in the sale a little better. They are high-waisted, which I know is a huge plus for some people, and I really love the dark wash. They run big so go one size down from your normal size, but be aware .. they’re long for anyone short, like myself. [I’m 5’3, for reference]
This Madewell scarf is one of two scarves I purchased during the sale. The material is warm and I love how it hangs. Sometimes scarves are too bulky and are a little overwhelming when you wrap them around your neck but, the material of this scarf is soft so it lays very delicately and beautifully.
The Leith cardigan is one of my favorite cardigans included in the sale. It is slightly oversized if you order your normal size, so go one size down if you want a more fitted look. I’m wearing an XS. Be aware that the material in and of itself won’t keep you super warm. You’ll need to wear a long-sleeve layer underneath it, as well as a scarf, when it’s super cold out! This is a FALL cardigan, not a WINTER cardigan.

I really like this chunky ribbed cardigan, most especially the color! There aren’t a lot of cognac colored items [shoes, sweaters, handbags] like there used to be so I was immediately drawn to this one because I still love that color because it is so versatile. These gray booties are one of my favorites from the sale. I love the slit on the side and the eyelet detail along the edges. These run true to size.
I love AG Jeans so much and this pair is a really flattering one. They’re almost $100 and run large, so be sure to go one size down. They’re also a bit long but because there is raw hem at the bottom that you can just cut them to the length you want.

This gray leather satchel is a great buy for the upcoming season. It has so much room for your belongings and can be worn as a satchel or a cross body. Frye always makes high quality merchandise so I highly recommend this item.

This is such a fun summer top! It’s thin and lightweight. It’s a little see-through so be sure to wear a beige strapless instead of white. It’s long so I opted for a front tuck. Easy breezy for a nice summer night!

These 7 For All Mankind jeans are probably the best overall fitting pairs of jeans I tried on from the sale. However, the overall wash is the reason why I will likely return them. I don’t like the white whisker look.
These open-toe booties fit well and are cute but not particularly my style. They run true to size but I will be returning them.
My jacket is a great lightweight layer on those days when you’re not sure what the weather is going to do … which is almost everyday here in Florida in the summertime. The cashmere poncho is a great piece for anyone who loves an easy warm throw on, over an easy basic outfit, but tends to get hot indoors during the fall and winter. You can easily take this off to allow yourself to cool down! I personally am going to use this when I travel in the Fall and Winter. Those travel days, especially long ones, you’re rushing from one gate to another, so you may want to stash it in your tote but … when you’re on the plane, and you’ve been up for 14 hours, you can cozy up in it as a blanket or ball it up as a mini pillow. Then, when you head outdoors, it can be your poncho again! How amazing is it that one thing can actually have more than one use?! If you want it to be a part of your outfit, and not take it off, I’d style a blanket scarf with it with over the knee boots!

This lavender coat has been on my lust list for about a couple of years now and I never seem to get to it before it’s sold out in my size. I was really excited to see it was a part of the sale this year so I could finally get my hands on one … at a discount! The results are in … and I absolutely LOVE this coat! These faux leather leggings are comfortable but I am going to pass on these. I know that faux leather leggings can be smooth when your legs rub up against each other but these make noise and kind of ‘catch’ on each other. Also, there are zippers on the back of the legging from the ankle to the calf, which I didn’t notice when I was looking at them online. These fit well and are great for short gals, like myself, but I think there are better ones out there!
This cashmere drape cardigan is the IT cardigan to buy in my opinion. It’s such a beautiful silhouette and is super warm and cozy for the Fall and Winter months. It’s a great deal at $150 considering it’s cashmere. I’m wearing a Petite XXS. I would purchase Regular or Petite based on your height then order one size down from your normal size from there.

This V-neck tee is loose-fitting and an easy throw on. I think I like the Caslon tee better, personally. I like that it’s bright white, whereas this top is tinged yellow/beige. BUT … you can only really tell when it’s against something bright white so it’s not too bad. I’m wearing an XS here so I’d say it runs big. Size down if you want something more fitted.

One of the hidden gems in this sale is this gray tank top with a slight turtleneck. It’s double-lined so it’s a little thick but it’s made of soft material, which I really like. It’s form-fitting and would look great under cardigans and blazers. It comes in regular and petite sizing. I’m wearing a regular XS and it’s only $20!
This Tory Burch crossbody is a soft pebbled leather and I love the gray color. I think it’s a refreshing neutral compared to the typical cognac or beige color. It has quite a bit of room inside for all of your everyday items and maybe a few more! I definitely think this is a really great deal for this bag. You’ll get a lot of use out of it.

This pink tank top sweater is great but I’m not sure it’s super practical. It is warm and really, really cute, though. If you’re interested in it … I would size up. I typically go for an XXS Petite when brands offer it because it typically means their garments run big but, I’m wearing a Petite Small here and it fits like a regular XS would in most garments. I’m sorry that’s so confusing. I hope it makes sense!

I can’t recommend this cardigan enough. It’s super cozy and does have a percentage of wool within the fabric so it should keep you pretty warm. It runs large so size down. I’m wearing an XXS.

You’re making me want everything! These are all great pieces, thanks for taking the time to share about each one. I’m seriously torn between the AG and rag & bone jeans. I love/don’t love certain things about each one so it definitely makes for a tough decision! I’m still waiting on the 7fam pair to ship which I’m sure will make it even more difficult when they arrive. 😉
They’re all great and of course jeans are one of those products that might work for one person but not another so, personally, I’m returning the AG’s and 7FAM but keeping the rag & bone’s. Good luck making your decision. Hope it gets easier 🙂 xo.
Oh no I thought you loved the Paige grey jeans during your live dressing room session??? Have you tried the size 23? Also, in the 7 jeans do you think you could have went down to a size 23? We are about the same size except I am 5’6 and have had to go down to 23 in both pairs of these Paige jeans plus rag and bone so far. Love all your picks! Thank you.
Hey Steffanie! I DO like them but … you know, sometimes you think something is awesome and then you wear them a little longer and your opinion can change and, while I do like them, there are a few things that I noticed that I don’t LOVE about them, which is what I shared. It’s important to remember – especially regarding denim – that everyone’s body and preferences are different so what doesn’t work for me .. might work GREAT for you so order them and give them a shot! My opinion is not the end all be all 🙂
Should the pink Nike’s ever come back in stock did you size up .5 or stick with your normal size?
They COULD, but I don’t have any inside knowledge on what items that have a reserve stock of, so definitely make a list of the items you want to check on the restock of when the sale goes live so you can quickly search. xo!
