Elegant Date Night Look + New Jewelry Pieces

Hey there, lovelies! Happy Happy Friday!

Is it just me or did this week fly by?

This weekend was supposed to be the weekend I used to unpack and get settled in the new townhouse but, because of the change in my move-in date, I really don’t know what to do with this weekend. I’m kind of excited to have no plans. I think I’m going to take Chips to that dog park one morning, early … before it gets too hot … then maybe lay by the pool, READ [if I can find a book in an easy to access box since everything is packed and stacked on top of each other] and get some sun! I’m also thinking of making an appointment at the spa on Sunday and just use this weekend as a recharge before another week begins.

Next week, I’m going down to Tampa to see Ed Sheeran and reunite with one of my best friends, Susanna! Kristan and I are driving down Tuesday and heading back Wednesday so it’s a short trip but I’m so excited about it. I haven’t seen Sus since December and it’s due time her and I got even just a little bit of face time in. Don’t you love that? Reuniting with people that are your people that you just haven’t had a chance to see in a bit? It’s one of my favorite things!

Then Friday is THE BIG MOVE! I can’t wait. Actually, there is ONE thing I do have planned this weekend and that is to walk through the town house since I got a call yesterday about how the contractors will actually be done with it by today. [As you can imagine, since I’ve been packed and ready since last Sunday and was then told on Monday they had to change the move-in date from 8/24 to 9/1 … when I got that call yesterday, I was a little like ……….. really? How did they miscalculate that? They were able to accomplish what they needed to finish in one day what they thought they would need eight for? Should I be concerned about this? LOL] With that said, I could have chosen to move in Saturday, because they offered me that opportunity, but we found out right after the last couple of things that needed to be scheduled were done and ready for the 9.1 move-in date so I’m just like …. no. Let’s just wait. No need to be hasty just because I’m packed and ready to go. It’ll be nice to have cable and internet set up ON the day I move in along with electric, which likely wouldn’t be the case if I moved tomorrow. I also have my videographer scheduled and ready to go for the 1st so I can give y’all a glimpse into what the move was like and what the new place looks like ‘before’ it’s fully decorated. The boys’ boarding appointment is set so … 9/1 it is! Hah!

Okay, enough rambling about all of that …. this dress may look familiar to you all! I showcased it on the blog in the light, light green color it comes in a few weeks ago. Check it out HERE. After trying that one on and realizing what a gem it is, I decided to also get it in black. It’s such a flattering silhouette that is appropriate for so many occasions. If you’ve been needing a new dress for a date night, I think this one could be it! I decided to pair it with some new jewelry pieces from Julie Vos. Have you heard of her jewelry before? I’ve been a fan for awhile now but some of the pieces I had and wore a lot sold out, and I always felt bad when people would ask where they were from. So, I refreshed my supply being that their new Fall line just launched on Monday! I’m loving a lot of her pieces:

Her pieces look like they belong to royalty. They’re so beautiful and well-made. They’re a little on the pricey side but you certainly get great quality with it. When investing in jewelry, it’s important to think about how much use you’ll get out of the pieces, which is one of the reasons I chose this gold pendant necklace and these pearl earrings. Both pieces will work with outfits throughout all seasons.

Okay, I think I’ve talked your ear off enough 🙂 I hope y’all have a great Friday and relaxing weekend! Catch y’all back here on Monday! xo.
