New Fall Colors To Embrace This Year

Hi there, lovelies!

Gosh, I feel like I don’t know what to talk about after yesterdays’ post! Hah! I hope you enjoyed my life update + the Q&A. I’ve already gotten a few emails with question submissions for next months post! I really do hope to do those each month. I know next month will be a lot of Fall style inspiration but am always open to your post suggestions! I’ll try and get a Friday Five up in there, as well.

Let’s see … in addition to prepping for the move, I’ve been working on planning my Fall and Winter trips. I’m going to be abroad for a few weeks in October. Victoria and I are excited to go on another trip together. We going to spend a good chunk of time in a city I’ve been wanting to spend more time in but have always wanted to do it in the Fall [although I wouldn’t mind going in the Spring, either] and then we’re working on some other spots to explore from there. Any guesses?  Whitney and I are also planning TWO trips – one is later in the Fall / Winter and the other is after the first of the year. I also want to check out New England because I literally have SO MUCH to see up there. I’ve only really ever been to NYC. What are you favorite cities to venture to in New England in the Fall? Give me the scoop! I think I have room for a small weekend getaway!

Speaking of Fall, this outfit is fresh take on Fall style in my opinion. We normally see those darker colors come in to play when we get into the Fall season but just because that’s what we normally see doesn’t mean that’s what we HAVE to resort to. This light pink cardigan is a lightweight linen blend, which is a little different than the ones this brand has made in the past. They’re super comfortable and I always love that it’s available in regular and petite sizing. If you’ve followed me on Instagram and Insta-stories … I’ve kind of shared my love for this new trend, the slide. I recently found these suede lavender slides. They are so precious and add such a cute addition to this outfit. I wouldn’t really ever pair lavender and pink together unless I was decorating a baby’s nursery but I say ‘why not?’ … when everyone does the same thing, let’s try and do something a little different, right?

Here are some more Fall slides that have my stamp of approval:

Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing some great pre-Fall items to consider adding to your wardrobe now instead of when they’re out of your size in about a month or two! I got your back, girl!! See you then! xo.

I love your idea of incorporating pinks and purples into fall and will DO that as I am shopping for a dress to wear to my friend’s October wedding (in FL)!
As for a New England trip in the fall, might I recommend Camden or Portland Maine? Both are gorgeous and right on the water, but different than our coast here in the sunshine state, of course 🙂 The leaves will be changing, there are mountains if you’re into small hikes and the food and shopping are fabulous in the small little towns. <3

Newport, RI is such a beautiful. quaint New England town right on the water! It has some of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to and the little downtown area is filled with European charm–cobblestone streets and all. Newport used to be the summer playground for the rich and famous back in the late 1800s-early 1900s and there are all these beautiful mansions on the cliffs above the water that you can tour, if that’s your thing. If you make it up that way, I definitely recommend doing one of the sunset sailboat tours–pick one that offers champagne 🙂

Love how you styled this look! I’m completely fine with having pink and purple as fall colours. As for New England, I haven’t been there since I was young. I can tell places in Toronto but that’s about it. That is where I go a lot for trips.

I’m originally from Maine (California girl now), and second the Portland and Camden votes above! I lived in Portland for a year and it has more restaurants per capita than San Francisco! The Old Port in Portland is the best for staying, shopping, and restaurants. If you go, you must go to Fore Street restaurant. Camden is a small town a little further north and the colors will be amazing in the fall. It also has great restaurants and shops, and there’s a small mountain right near town called Mount Battie that’s awesome easy hike in the fall. *Ugh*, I miss fall in New England so much, it’s the best!!!

I live in Maine and fall is gorgeous here! I would highly recommend checking Portland out if possible- our little city continuously gets ranked for having an incredible food scene. I also love Burlington and Stowe Vermont and both are gorgeous in the fall!

You are looking adorable in this outfit and I agree that those are the colors which aren’t only “reserved” for Spring or Summer but work well in Fall too. 🙂

Boston is fabulous! Super walkable, friendly people, amazing food, and a lot of history. We walked everywhere (no car needed)- you could use public transportation but we didn’t need to. Granted, my husband and I love walking everywhere on vacation:)

I love this outfit, especially those shoes!! New England is stunning in the fall and I don’t think you can beat Burlington, VT if you’re going for that quintessential New England feel. Portland, Maine and Portsmouth, NH are also beautiful and The Berkshires in Massachusetts are worth visiting as well! Can’t wait to see where you end up!

Having grown up in RI and now residing in MA I would say Fall here is pretty spectacular, by far my favorite of all our seasons. You have to be here when the leaves are changing color! Come up here and grab some apple cider and cider donuts. Salem, MA is awesome this time of year too. If you are into the history of witches and such Salem in the Fall is the place to be. Amazing restaurants, museums, and tons of history.

Overall there is a ton to also to in Boston and Newport as others have mentioned.

Love the link and purple together s this would look super pretty with gray jeans and a white tank in the fall too. I have little ones so wearing all white is always a disaster. It looks great on you though.
