Hey there, friends! Happy Friday!

Whitney and I ventured down to Miami last weekend for a few days to enjoy a stay at The Biltmore Hotel, as well as trying out some of the areas’ nicest restaurants’ Miami Spice menus. They’re smaller selections at a more affordable price than normal and everything we had was absolutely amazing! I can’t wait to share more from our trip in an upcoming pool. Just WAIT until you see the pool from this place!

On our first afternoon, we got really lucky with intermittent clear skies before dinner. We were able to snap a few photos of this outfit that I was really excited to wear. I scored this dress last week and think it’s SO adorable. Yes, the color might not be for everyone but IF this marigold color is for you … you NEED to snag it as a dress option for ‘nicer’ summer events and outings. It runs true to size and is supposed to fit a bit loose. The pleat detail, aside from the color, is my favorite part of it. I loved how it complimented the hotel exterior and the outside square.

There were a lot of gloomy and stormy skies during our Miami stay so that was a bummer but Whitney & I really enjoyed being able to catch up. We haven’t seen each other since we parted ways in London. She went back to America a few days before I did. We both really, really miss that city. It truly was the experience of a lifetime. I’m forever thankful for the fact that I was able to experience it with one of my best friends, especially when we did NOT even plan it to happen the way it did. It was a year ago today that I was packing up my rental car with Fish [and my five suitcases] for Atlanta before departing for London the next day. This year has flown by and I can’t even believe it’s already August. Whit leaves today and we spent a good bit of yesterday afternoon planning a couple of trips later this year and next year [yes, already planning for next year!]. Where are your favorite places to explore in the Fall and Winter months? We think we have the destinations set but I’d love to hear your input!

It’s been a long week of early mornings and late nights … you may not have been able to tell it with the number of blog posts this week but I definitely put work in to the blog in other ways. Can’t wait to share! It’s my hope to put together my July Favorites and my last round-up of Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks … or maybe just outfit inspiration 😉 …. per y’alls request! … being that so many of y’all are likely done shopping the sale!
