Casual Striped Dress Under $60 + Cognac Boots

Hi there, lovelies! I’ve got a super cute casual outfit to share with y’all!

One of my favorite things to throw on during this transitional time of year between Summer and Fall is lightweight sweatshirt dresses. I just moved and have been buying quite a bit of furniture lately to fill in some of the empty spaces around the house so I’m trying to spend a little less on clothes so THIS striped sweatshirt dress fit the budget! I wore it last week in my IG Story and I had a lot of y’all ask about it. I’m wearing an XS and it runs true to size. It’s not too thick and not too thin. It’s soft and loose-fitting. I love sweatshirt dresses because they’re a little thicker than a normal shift dress. It’s more comfortable to me, like it’s not clinging to me like other materials do. Plus, I don’t know about you but … casual is always my favorite ‘style’ to opt for! I pulled out this old jean jacket to pair with it to give it a little more dimension. This Tory Burch cognac tote bag is so cute for Fall and it matches the Sam Edelman boots I snagged during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale perfectly! Love when that happens! 🙂

Okay … so, we are finally back in action around here! I feel a little bit more caught up after the move and Hurricane Irma – even though I still have quite a ways to go! My house is still a work in progress but I got some things done over the weekend that made me feel like it was a success. I’m also extremely thankful to have not experienced any damage to the house … other than some leaking from windows, which has been a pretty easy fix so far. Over the weekend, I got all of my Christmas & holiday decorations and decorative knick-knacks out of the house and stored in the garage. I can’t just let things be out … they have to be stored away in something. [I’m weird. It bothers me just to see something laying against a wall.] My garage doesn’t have a storage closet so I found these awesome garage storage cabinets at Home Depot that keep everything hidden away and gives you the opportunity to store lots of things in one place. I bought two of them but I’m thinking I may get one more just so that storage is available if there are other things that need to go outside vs. inside. I think some of my sun & beach products as well as hurricane preparedness items would be good to put out there. What do y’all store in your garage aside from like, outdoor maintenance equipment? Give me some ideas! I’m trying to conserve storage space inside. Then, yesterday, I got all of my shoes and handbags unpacked out of bags and placed in my small ‘extra’ room, that I’m using as an additional large closet.  My old shoe cabinets, that are currently in the garage, are going to be moved into that room tomorrow. I wish I could have moved them myself! I hate having to wait for someones help .. anyone else like that?

Anyway, I hope y’all had a great weekend! I’m excited to get some stuff done for S&T this week. I shot quite a few looks with Miguel at the end of last week so I have a full weeks worth of content planned to share and I hope y’all are excited for new posts! For those of you who asked for the makeup tutorial of my Fall-inspired eyeshadow combination from last week … I’ll be taping it tomorrow and hope to get it to you by the next week! I appreciate the patience! I’m not as quick as those pro – YouTuber’s! Maybe one day hah! Anyway, thanks for stopping by today! Have a great start to your week! xo.
