The Packing List: Spring Break / Beach Vacation

Hiii! I got quite a few requests for a post on what to pack for Spring Break. Now is also the prime time for a warm weather getaway for those of you experience a pretty brutal Winter so I figured this post would help quite a few people, no matter your age!

I started having some technical difficulties as I was making the style boards I usually make so, I do apologize that the presentation isn’t up to my usual standard, hah! But, this covers the jist of what I’d recommend bringing:

I wish I had a beach getaway in my near future. I know I live in Florida but the beach here just isn’t as dreamy as most of what you see in the islands! I have to patiently await the end of April, which isn’t so bad, but I’m getting started on making sure I have just what I need to enjoy and beat the heat!

Here’s what you need:

[1] SUN PROTECTION: Let’s be real! A huge part of wanting to get away to a beautiful island destination is to get some sun! But we have all heard about the affects of sun damage to our skin and eyes so be sure to do all that you can to protect yourself! Packing sunglasses, a large brim or floppy hatlip balm with SPF and sunscreen are absolute musts! Don’t worry … you’ll still get some sun, even with SPF, because the sun is so strong in some places, but you can always use this faux tan mousse that I love if you’re really passionate about protecting yourself!

When I am out and about, and I know my face will potentially experience sun exposure, I am sure to reapply SPF throughout the day with THIS product.

[2] BATHING SUITS: This is a given, am I right? Here are some that have caught my eye recently:

[3] COVERUP’S: Another given … 🙂

[4] LOOSE-FITTING, LIGHTWEIGHT EVENING OUTFITS: After your date with the sun, it’s time to clean yourself up and treat yourself to a yummy meal! Whether you’re heading to a nice restaurant or down to a casual lunch spot, you’ll want either shorts, a lightweight cami, a fun romper or a lightweight dress. Here are some options:

[5] PRACTICAL FOOTWEAR: To accompany the cute outfit, you’ll need some practical footwear. I would normally recommend sandals but, if you’re just heading to a nice dinner, wedges are appropriate. I also think sneakers are appropriate for places that have fun hiking opportunities or historic cities and sites to explore, like Chichen Itza in Mexico. So, obviously just pack based on what you have on your itinerary but here are some options for ya!

I personally think these gladiator sandals are adorable!

The images you see within this post are all from my trip that I took to Bermuda last year. I hope this list helps you find some cute things to bring along with you on your Spring Break or beach getaway!

There are a couple great sales going on right now! Here’s a short roundup:

If y’all aren’t familiar with this company, I highly recommend it. It’s based in the U.K. but they have the cutest clothes at really affordable prices. It’s where I got the pink swing dress I wore last week.
