Hey there, friends! Happy Monday!
I hope y’all had a great weekend! For me, I just couldn’t stop thinking about how nice it was to be home with the boys. I caught up with my best friend, Kristan, on my Friday night. We had both been in and out of town recently so I haven’t seen her in a couple of weeks. On Saturday, I woke up to find that one half of my closet had completely collapsed. Instead of stressing about it, I literally just left it hah! I did some other things around the house that had been on my list and I intend to figure out how to tackle that this week sometime. On Saturday night, my friends and I enjoyed a fun “Favorite Sandwich” theme potluck and game night. It had been awhile since we had all gotten together so that was really fun! And then, last night, I watched the Jags take on the Patriots … AND WIN … with some friends before coming home to put laundry away and get the last few things done around the house before the week begins! As much as I love to travel, and as much fun as last weekend in NYC was, it’s so nice to just take it slow and be home.
While it feels nothing like Fall here in Florida, this neutral outfit has me really excited about the weeks to come and especially the next adventure I’m going on with my friend, Victoria. I nailed down a lot of logistics yesterday for it and I simply cannot wait to enjoy the Fall season in this place! This Free People sweater will be a repeat offender over the next few months. I chose the ‘Ivory’ color because it’s a great neutral that can be paired with white, blue or black denim as well as leggings, as you see here.
I’m wearing the Spanx faux leather leggings that I shared quite a bit last year and also during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Be sure to scoop them up if you haven’t already. They are such a great pair that you will wear over and over again! I’m wearing an XS. There’s a lot of stretch in the waist and they’re super soft. The best part about them is the chic sheen that they have. Sometimes I think faux leather leggings look too shiny to the point that they look cheap but these look really, really nice, as you can see in the photos.
Are y’all into the fisherman cap / fiddler hat trend? I styled them last year, most especially on my trip to France in October, and am excited that they’re still ‘in’ because I think they’re so fun and appropriate for this season. I got this new one by rag & bone for this year and think it’s going to go with so many outfits but, thought I’d round up some more affordable options for you guys, here:
I personally think this one, this one and this one are the best alternatives to the one I’m wearing with this outfit. I just purchased this one in the burgundy color. If you can’t justify purchasing my hat, I’d say grab that one and and wear a burgundy lip color [like this one in “Hex”, currently 15% off and cruelty-free]. It would be so stunning and a much more affordable way to style this look!
These slouchy boots were a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchase from this past year and I’m excited to finally be styling them again. I love that they match the little pocket on the front of my Louis Vuitton handbag, although it’s not required. I think all neutrals compliment each other so, if you style this look with a different handbag, I think it’ll all flow together nicely.
Thanks for stopping by today, lovelies! I hope you have a great start to your week! xo.
P.S. Huge thank you to a new local restaurant, Coop 303, for letting Kaylee and I shoot behind your building! It was a fun find in the midst of very limited shooting options in our area! We appreciate you! If you’re in the Jacksonville Beaches area, be sure to stop by! The service and food is amazing!
