Getting My Home Holiday Ready Thanks To Dyson

Hey there!

Last year, when I moved into my townhouse, I purchased a vacuum that ended up really disappointing me. I tried to make it work for awhile but about two months ago, I broke up with that vacuum and asked y’all for some help.

There were so many great recommendations and I evaluated them ALL! I ended up going with …..

dyson vacuum

the Dyson V8 Animal Cordless Stick Vacuum!

You guys were not lying about this thing! It is a powerhouse and does some serious work! After decorating my Christmas tree last weekend, I had glitter, faux snow balls, and little bits of paper everywhere. It was all over my rug, hardwood floors and velvet couch. I thought I was surely out of luck and the glitter would just be a permanent adornment to my living room. Clearly I hadn’t used the Dyson. I feel like I want to name her after someone powerful … Dolly Parton, perhaps? Yes. Dolly Parton is a powerful woman in my mind and world. Dolly the Dyson. It’s been decided.

So, yeah, clearly I hadn’t used Dolly the Dyson yet because it was laughable just how easy it was for her to clean up! Everything is looking pristine and perfect for when I return home from London. Isn’t that the best feeling?

To give you a little run down, this particular Dyson appealed to me for a few reasons.

First of all, it’s cordless. If that’s not winning, I don’t know what is. Am I right, ladies?

Next, it gives you 40-minutes of powerful suction with a non-motorized tool. I hope I never have a home that would take me longer than 20 minutes to vacuum but, if I needed to vacuum for longer than that, I love knowing that it is powerful enough to do so.

And last, but not least, I love that its filtration system captures allergens and expels clean air. There’s nothing worse than feeling like your machine is only adding to the mess in your home. Another perk to this machine is that you can detach the motorized portion and attach a different brush head to make it a hand-held vacuum making hard-to-reach places easier to clean!

All in all, I am so so happy with this purchase, especially when I saw it was available on eBay! Over the course of the last year, I’ve been finding a lot of popular items [Tory Burch, Kitchenaid Mixer, beauty products, etc.] and I typically end up saving money! The Dyson V8 Animal Cordless Stick Vacuum was no different! Other retailers had it available for over $150 more than the price for a brand new one on eBayDid you know that 81% of everything sold on eBay is new and available to purchase with the ‘Buy It Now’ option? I’ve done that with almost all of the items I’ve purchased from eBay this year and it usually ships for free!

Shopping on eBay is a breeze, if you’ve never tried it. If it’s been awhile, just know that it’s nothing like it used to be where everything that is sold on there is people’s old junk. As I mentioned, 81% of the items are new and most sellers have multiple reviews so you can make safe and informed purchases. That is something I always recommend! One of the things I love about eBay is how easy it is to search for what you are looking for. They have every filter you could need in the left hand side of the screen to help you narrow down the search results. The filters change based on what item you are searching for. So, the filter options for a vacuum will be different than beauty products, which I don’t feel like you see on other retailers’.

If you’re thinking about spoiling someone with a Dyson this holiday season, I highly recommend you find one on eBay! I can promise you, now that I have been introduced to Dolly, it will bring a HUGE smile to their face! xo.
