How to do Holiday Style in a Warmer Climate

I realize that while I’ve done my fair share of covering holiday style and winter outfits for true winter weather, I haven’t done that enough for the climate that I actually live in. The thing is, it’s always sort of tricky covering “winter” style from a beach town in Florida because … well … we don’t get much of that kind of weather down here. It’s definitely not what most of the country does when it comes to winter temps. So, while I’m sharing heavy coats and sweaters [that work well for my time in London], it’s oftentimes too much for Jacksonville. So, I thought I’d share an option for those of you celebrating in a warmer climate and a great place to look for others!

I’m not 100% sure where I’m spending Christmas and New Year’s yet, whether here or in London, but I wanted to have myself covered for both options. And I, of course, wanted to provide some holiday style coverage for my girls here in Florida, or anywhere where holiday style doesn’t necessarily mean warmer temps.

Lilly Pulitzer is a brand I’ve been wearing for decades now. In college, I had a very colorful and girly, as well as classic, style. I wore Lilly Pulitzer every chance I got. My style has evolved to incorporate a lot more neutral and timeless pieces [though I do still adore color], and it’s cool to see that the Lilly Pulitzer brand has done the same. Still a brand staying true to their roots with beautiful, colorful resort wear, they’ve also brought in a bunch of cream, black, and tan to their wardrobe – colors after my own heart. From dresses to swimwear and lounge, they’ve really got a girl covered, especially when it comes to holidays in the sunshine.

I love that they still have their hints of Lilly Pulitzer in each piece, whether it be lace trim and jacquard like the dress I’m wearing here or a beaded neck on a classic shift dress. They’re truly that perfect look for holiday style in warmer climates. If you’re looking for a tad more coverage, I have my eye on this sweater dress with slight bell sleeves and this cashmere wrap which would work well with any of these dresses. Love that the wrap can cover your shoulders for a holiday church service or something, too.

And to add a little something extra to any holiday shopping you’re doing over at Lilly Pulitzer, they have a few amazing Resort Ready Glamour Promos that I wanted to call out for y’all:

With any purchase, receive the Lilly printed hair tie set, which is just adorable.

When spending $75+, you’ll get the hair tie set along with a printed headband.

When spending $200+, you’ll get both items mentioned above & their printed jewelry box.

How amazing is that? Definitely incentive to snag your holiday looks at Lilly Pulitzer and / or to grab a few items for others, too. As if the dresses weren’t incentive enough 🙂

Alright, y’all, I hope this helps any of my girls spending the holidays in the sunshine! xo.
