Seven Holy Grail Beauty Items That Are Great For Gifting

I’ll admit it … I’m slightly beauty obsessed. And while I don’t share nearly as much beauty content as in relation to how much I actually use and research, trust me when I say that it’s a hobby of mine. I’m constantly trying out new products, repurchasing others, and having fun with beauty/makeup along the way. While I enjoy sharing new finds with y’all, I think it’s even more important to share the ones that I run out of and re-purchase and use daily. There are those holy grail products that are always top shelf in my vanity lately and the ones that I really don’t go more than a couple of days without using. They’re the products that I’ve been using for months if not years, and basically the items I hope beauty companies NEVER stop producing.

With that, today’s post is all about my holy grail products from Walmart beauty. I’ve been using products from Walmart since forever, but it’s nice to see the brand growth they’ve had within their store. From carrying mainly “drugstore” products to that plus more luxury brands like Urban Decay and Versace, it’s amazing to see such a wide variety of inventory in one place. I love that you can snag your go-to drugstore mascara while also spending a little more on a luxury palette, for example. Not to mention the versatility of gift options and deals you have in one beauty department. You can snag something fun for your niece and something more elegant for your mother-in-law in the same section. Love that!

Out of everything Walmart Beauty carries, these are the products I find essential …

Wet Brush

What did we do before the invention of wet brushes? [Same way I feel about dry shampoo, for the record.] If you’re not yet using a Wet Brush, I’m confident in saying that it’ll change your life. At the least, your life after getting out of the shower or while brushing your hair. I adore this affordable Wet Brush and have completely tossed out all other regular brushes, some costing 10x this price. If you have kids, this would also be an amazing snag when dealing with their tender heads and tangles.

Urban Decay’s NAKED3 Eyeshadow Palette

FUN FACT: Urban Decay’s NAKED eyeshadow palettes have been in my makeup arsenal since college [I graduated in 2010]! Talk about holy grail and an avid user over here. I have about four different palettes of theirs that I can reach for during the week, and this neutral combination is one of the most used. No matter the color eye you have, this is a solid everyday option that has you covered. I also like this warmer ‘Heat’ palette for more burgundy undertones. Due to the high-quality eyeshadow formula and how long these palettes last, you cannot go wrong with these as a gift this holiday season.

St. Tropez Dark Tanning Mousse

I know there are a LOT of opinions out there about self-tanning options, and I’d feel safe saying this mousse is one of the high-rated among women I know. This is my go-to for keeping color without the damage that sunbathing can do for your health. Plus, the colors sets almost instantly so it’s great for last-minute occasions. I find that this formula delivers my favorite bronze color, the smell is minimal [I find it pleasant], and it’s an even tan as long as you take your time with the application process.

For me, that includes:

  1. Take a shower and bathe as normal. Then, you’ll want to exfoliate your skin to ensure the sunless tanning product goes on evenly.
  2. Dry off well and apply moisturizer. My skin gets dried out really easily so I can’t go without moisturizing. Give your skin ten minutes to absorb the lotion before apply your sunless tanner.
  3. Grab your applicator mitt [snag one here] and apply two pumps of the tanning product then start applying to your body. Make sure to do this in front of a mirror so you can keep a close eye on how evenly you’re applying everything.
  4. Let it dry for 10-15 minutes before putting any clothing on. If you put clothes on before it’s completely dry, the tan could become uneven or transfer on to your clothing.

I apply this every few days depending what I’ve got going on and it’s always an item I love sneaking into family member’s stockings. 🙂

Versace Bright Crystal Perfume

I get headaches easily so I have to be careful with perfumes, especially ones that are too overpowering. This one is not! It’s actually one of three scents I wear regularly but it will always reign as number one in my book. It’s a fresh-smelling mix of floral scents like peony, magnolia, and lotus, and it also has touches of musk which I love. It smells amazing and I always receive compliments when wearing it. Not to mention it looks beautiful sitting out.

Too Faced ‘Better Than Sex’ Mascara

The name of this mascara always makes me laugh, ha! I have yet to find a mascara whose formula is as beautifully buildable as this one and I honestly don’t think I ever will. It elongates my lashes and has almost no fallout throughout the day which is MAJOR, especially if you’re wearing your same makeup from morning to night. You will not regret adding this to your beauty arsenal … or someone else’s.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian ‘Bum Bum’ Cream

This is actually the newest-to-me product on this list, but even in a few short months, I’m deeming it essential. The name says it all; it’s a caffeine formula which helps to tighten and stimulate your skin. You can obviously wear it other places than your booty [I use it as an overall body moisturizer], and it’s a flattering product if you’re spending time in a bathing suit or basically when showing skin at all. The smell alone makes it worth the purchase, but the hydration and tightening factors are a plus. I’ve turned quite a few friends onto this and am actually giving it to a few people this year!

Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Brush

I’m really excited to share this as a potential gift item because it’s one of my favorite beauty tools. Especially for moms, busy gals, or anyone you know who needs to save time … treat them to this bad boy. I’ve actually written an ENTIRE blog post on this tool and have spent extensive time using it. As you can see from this post, it’s a game-changer. It is excellent for saving time, giving your hair volume and smoothing ends in the process. I really can’t say enough amazing things about this tool! Oh, did I mention it’s marked down to $39?

If you’re looking for some last minute gift ideas for the beauty lover in your life, don’t forget to take a look at Walmart and see what they have available for delivery before Christmas. Also, be sure to check out this years’ gift guide for the beauty guru! Thanks for stopping by today and please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions about any of these products. I’m happy to go further into detail or to clarify! xo.
