If you would have told me a few months ago that I’d be able to live in leggings and joggers for a couple months, I would have been thrilled. And, while that was one small perk during the first few weeks of quarantine, I’m pretty sure my sweats are sick of me at this point. I really do miss getting dressed and my social life and while I don’t have control of our current climate, I do have control over how I dress for the day.
It might sound silly, but lately I’ve been making it a priority to get dressed [sweats don’t count!] and throw on a little makeup a few days a week. Not only does this do something for my spirit and sanity, but it positively impacts my productivity, as well. I’m much more likely to do some work, want to take a walk, call family and friends, and so on. While I might not be able to wear cute dresses to the farmer’s market or brunch at the moment, there are certain ones I’ve enjoyed wearing around the house.
If y’all are looking for a couple dresses that are casual enough for quarantine life but will serve you well for the rest of spring and summer, I’ve got 11 for you below!
I shared this maxi dress on IG Stories recently and I’m still obsessed! It’s probably my favorite dress on this list due to the fit, feel, and beautiful tiered hem detail. The adjustable straps are nice since everyone’s body is different and I could see this working on most figures. It’s currently marked down so I’d snag it for lazy quarantine days while you can and be happy with the confidence of it being packed away for a future beach getaway! It comes in black, as well.
I love EVERYTHING about this dress. The beautiful color and print for Spring, the loose yet flattering fit, the ruffle details, and the feminine feel. This dress is not only comfortable for quarantine, but I know it’ll be my go-to for things like brunch, casual lunches, and all sorts of weekend activities once things resume.
If you’re someone who likes short dresses that are modest and cover everything nicely, this frill sundress is a great option since it hits right above the knee. Albeit I’m petite, this dress gives you the feel of a mini without being revealing whatsoever! Great budget-friendly find here and this sage color is beautiful in person. Currently 20% off for US gals with code HEYTWENTY!
I’m always a sucker for tie shoulder details so I knew I had to try this mini sundress. If you live somewhere where the heat is already intense, this would be a good option right now since it’s breezy and not one bit fussy. Currently 20% off for US gals with code HEYTWENTY!
I have a feeling this style of dress will sell out quickly over on Free People’s website. Coming in ivory, mauve, light blue [gorg!], and a pretty coral red, it can serve many occasions, including low-key days at home or in your yard. It’s floor length on me since I’m short but seems to hit at the ankle of the models in the photos. There are also several ways to tie the straps here depending on how much skin you want to show. Always appreciate versatility in a dress, don’t you?
As you can see from several of my choices on this list, I’ve been heavily shopping at ASOS since they’re readily available to the UK. Their prices are always extremely fair and I’m loving their inventory lately. Such a good everyday denim midi dress here, I think every girl needs one of these in her closet 🙂 Currently 20% off for US gals with code HEYTWENTY!
A basic t-shirt dress for the win! I can never have enough t-shirt dresses and they are simply the easiest thing to throw on for casual days or events. I’m into this nude since it’s so versatile and the price is incredible! Currently 20% off for US gals with code HEYTWENTY!
Sadly, this dress is no longer available. The link is here if you want to check for restocks. I included it because I got a flood of messages from you guys when it was on my clothing rack rail last week and you guys saw it on stories! I was steaming and organizing dresses and hadn’t checked stock yet. I do apologize but, don’t fret. It could restock! I’ll keep an eye on it, as well!
First off, this dress is $80 but looks much more expensive than that. Secondly, the neutral beige color is one of the biggest trends of the year and a hue that can bring you from spring to summer to fall. The dress is naturally cinched at the waist giving it a flattering fit, but if you want to accentuate things a bit, add a belt as I did here. It would also be cute without the belt and wicker wedges for a dressed-up version!
H&M has become a budget-friendly staple for me over the years and they have a ton of adorable dresses at the moment, including this one. As you can tell, I’m all about comfortable dresses, especially as we’re all spending time at home, and this billowy dress fits the bill. I used a belt to cinch the waist here as this dress can be a bit wide on my frame but I know I’ll be wearing it on its own during hotter days. It comes in several pretty prints and is under £19.99.
I seem to snag a few easy-breezy white dresses a year as they’re just a go-to for me. I adore the pleated bodice and detail of this cute one and can’t tell you how good it feels to put on. I’ll definitely be throwing this on for walks with John once the weather clears up. If you’re engaged, this would also be a great option for any events post-quarantine or to travel with since it’s so lightweight.
Here are even more I’ve found since I pulled the ones in today’s post:
Now if only the weather would brighten up, I’d be able to wear all of these on our daily walks around town. And hopefully sooner than later, to lots of spring and summer activities!
Are y’all starting to get sick of sweat pants too? Or are you not wearing real clothes until life resumes? Let me know! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. xo.
