Outerwear Trends I Am Loving Lately

Hello, loves, and happy Thursday! We have been busy moving into our new home in Windsor this week. How is it that you always seem to forget just how long packing & un-packing takes?! But, honestly, we are just so thrilled about this next chapter of life. I keep reminding myself to slow down & enjoy the process of unpacking and making a house a home! I did want to quickly pop in and give you all a little roundup of the outerwear I have been pulling for lately. It seems the temps dropped rather quickly here and so my outerwear pieces have been taking quite a few strolls around the block a lot lately! Ha! Let’s get into it!

Blazers

I wanted to showcase these two outfits as inspiration so you can see just how easy it is to style a brown blazer as it is to style a black blazer. Both looks are elevated, classic, and will stay in your closet for years. I tend to size up when buying a blazer so I am able to layer with a turtleneck sweater or oversized pullover sweatshirt for additional layers of warmth. Pair it with a Chelsea boot or faux suede leggings and you are set! I put together a graphic below that you can easily shop by clicking on the product you like. It has blazers at all different price points, style options & colors!

Quilted Outerwear

I think this ‘trend’ may be my favorite of the three. It gives an otherwise simple jacket a little touch of cozy and I am here. for. it. I think my love began last year when I shared this Free People quilted jacket when I was pregnant. I wore it every time we went out to run an errand. It was such an easy throw on.

Quilted jackets can be dressed up for a night out on the town with faux leather leggingsover-the-knee boots & and a cozy blanket scarf. Or, the best part and quite possibly my favorite, throw it over a loungewear set for a grocery store or coffee run and you have a completely different look that is just as cute, affordable, and the absolute perfect staple for colder months!

Don’t miss this quilted coat I shared last week — it’s so chic and gives me major British heritage vibes! It’s currently 25% off with code NOVEMBER!

Wrap Coats

Last but certainly not least, wrap coats! Whilst living in Florida I never truly needed a wrap coat. But, now that I’m spending my second winter as a Londoner, my need for heavy-duty coats is a must. It’s always nice to feel cute but, if you’re freezing the whole time, it’s just miserable. Cue a nice wrap coat option! They are warm, heavy-duty (most of them- you can opt for a lighter option if temps don’t get too cool), and are so chic. They give any, and I mean any, outfit an instant facelift! The one I chose to splurge on this year is from Mango and I have loved it! I also rounded up a ton of other options in the graphic below that come in at all price points.

I know the photo above doesn’t show this coat wrapped but it is probably my personal favorite out of the wrap coats I’ve acquired since moving here. It’s warm and the material is incredible. It’s available again this year so I’ll link it here for you!

Also, take a look at what Abercrombie is offering this year in the wrap coat department because they have great options as well – like this one!

Well, I hope this blog post was helpful and that you aren’t totally overwhelmed with options. Ha! My advice is to choose one or two staple pieces to splurge on each year that you don’t already have something similar to in your closet.

And as always, thank you for being here. xo.
