Hi friends! Happy Friday!
My 32nd birthday weekend is off to a great start after one of my best friends, Whitney, surprised me with a visit! If you’ve followed me for awhile, you may remember that Whitney lived with me for part of my stay in London back in 2016. She was adventuring through Europe for around the same amount of time I was living in London [proof here], testing out a relationship that had been long-distance until then. Our friendship is unique in that we were acquaintances for a long time and became best friends through traveling together. Sometimes we see each other once a month but, more often than not, we’ll go months without seeing each other but, just like any best friend, any time spent together is a treasure, especially when you don’t like in the same city, so I’m really excited she scooted out of Nashville for the weekend to help me celebrate! I had absolutely no idea and am so humbled that she would do that for me.

Every year, I have so much fun putting together a birthday wish list of things online that have caught my eye. If you know me, personally, you know I never expect gifts. Honestly, what means the most to me are words and gestures. So, what Whitney did for me said SO much and made me feel so loved. No gift could ever make me feel that way. Most of my best girlfriends got the heck out of the city I live in after college so, other ‘gifts’ that mean the world to me are cards with handwritten notes in them. Nothing is better than feeling thought of and cared about and a card with a heartfelt message has always done just that. So, I wouldn’t say that the things in this wish list are actually things I want my friends and family to go buy for me but are rather just things that reflect my personal style that I wouldn’t be shy to gift myself. 🙂
I’m really gravitating toward delicate layered necklaces lately so I thought this one and this one might be fun to pair together. You may have noticed that I haven’t shared a lot of athletic sneaker finds this year and that’s because I truly haven’t found any lately that I love, until I found these Nike’s. How cute are they? Sadly, my size is sold out but there are still lots to choose from! I saw this cute floral zip around case that would be great for traveling. I’m always looking for ways to keep items organized in my suitcase or protect items I purchase abroad from getting damaged or lost.
Madewell is one of those brands that I’ve always respected but sometimes find their items to be too big on me. However, I’ve found that that’s changed over the course of the last year so I’ve loved incorporating more of that brand into my wardrobe. This striped button-up is so chic and think it would be so cute with nice black pants and a sleek pair of heels.
When I was in college, COACH was a really nice purse company that so many of us vied to be able purchase from one day. It lost its luster a couple years later but it’s slowly reintroducing itself into the scene and I found this white handbag with gold hardware that I think is SO cute and perfect for summer. Their style and price point is aligned with Tory Burch in case you’re not familiar with the brand. I ended up ordering it after thinking about it for a week and I’ll let you know what I think when it comes in!
And, if you’ve followed me for awhile … it should be no surprise to you that these big white statement earrings by Kate Spade caught my eye! I cannot WAIT to check these out! I ordered this adorable neckerchief a few weeks ago and, since I’ve been hunkering down and doing a lot of work on that big project lately, I just haven’t gotten around to styling it. But, you will see it in a post I have scheduled for next week so stay tuned! I will say, though, it’s the perfect size for a silk scarf in my opinion. Some can be so big and overwhelm my neck, even when it’s rolled up the right way.
Alright, y’all … I’m off to enjoy the weekend! I know I still owe y’all the Budapest Travel Diary. I do apologize for not getting that to y’all when I said it was going to. I’m terrible at gauging how long those will take me and because I was only there for 36 hours … I was sure it wouldn’t take long but, you know I like to make sure y’all have some good background information in addition to the experiential aspects so hang tight! It’ll be up soon! xo.
