Can we talk about how happy I am to be back in this state? Like I mentioned in my last post, I grew up coming out here with my family for ski trips every other year and lived in Denver for a year with my best friend from college. It holds a very special place in my heart. So today, on St. Patty’s Day, I consider myself a very lucky lady to be spending it here!
On Saturday, after a long day of traveling across the country, driving through the mountains, playing Super Market Sweep at City Market (with 200 people in the store, it seriously felt like it!), and then lugging like fifteen grocery bags and multiple 50+ pound suitcases up three flights of stairs to our condo, my sweet daddy offered to come outside with me before the sun went down to take some outfit photo’s for me. My heart melted at the end of his offer. He and I have our share of issues and differences, but one thing is for certain: he genuinely loves my passion for this little creative space. He loves hearing me talk about my ideas for it and its future, and seeing me get excited about the smallest of wins! And, what do you know? Through his support, we discovered that he has quite the knack for photography!
For travel days, I like to be comfy, and a lot of times, during the winter months, I overdress for warmth because I’m always cold. I stopped in J.Crew the other day and snagged this super cozy sweatshirt and knew it was my travel day front-runner. Everyone and their mom celebrated St. Patty’s Day on Saturday, so I decided to pair it with my lime green gingham button-up that had been hidden away in the back of my closet for awhile. I’m seriously obsessed with this double-lined parka with faux fur detail on the hood. It’s so comfortable, and I was a little worried it wouldn’t be warm enough but have been pleasantly surprised!
