It’s no secret that I was in Dallas a couple weeks ago, and I must say, it’s really amazing to look through these pictures and see how much can come out of a simple ‘hey, we should all do brunch on saturday!’ suggestion. The truth is … that’s how this amazing Valentine’s Day themed brunch got started. One idea lead to another and then we found ourselves talking about wanting to really capitalize on the love that we share for each other as bloggers and this supportive community that we have inadvertently established! Once a few of us got to talking, more girls got invited and involved which just made it all the more fun! We all got to mix and mingle and get to know like-minded girls, who we had already been supporting and loving from being social media platforms.
Our hope for this brunch was that this Valentine’s Day, you would do the same. Don’t be discouraged by what you don’t have. You may not have a boyfriend. I don’t, either! I also don’t have a mother, who y’all … I would freaking. love. to spend Valentine’s Day with. But what we all have to realize, is that there is so much love around us no matter the season you are in. Whether your single or married, I encourage you to pick up the phone and get your closest girlfriends together, or even girlfriends that you don’t know that well, and make dinner or brunch reservations … and just enjoy each other’s company. I can tell you from experience, from this experience, that you will be so glad you did. You never know what kind of friendships will develop and flourish!
Choose fun. Choose happy. Choose love.
