Ever put together an ensemble, but feel like it just needs a ‘little something’ … something to just make it more interesting or less boring? I love to wear this dress in the summertime. I got it from Forever 21 a few years ago, but every time I wear it, that’s how I feel … like I just blend in, and that is just not okay with me, so I paired with the brightest pair of shoes I own!

Please don’t misunderstand.
I’m not an obnoxious attention seeker at all.
People who know me, know that I am actually quite the opposite,
pretty soft spoken.

I’ve just found that, as I have started using my personal style as an evolving and creative outlet, I am just not a fan of boring. I’d much rather stand out, stir up questions in people’s heads, brighten up my outfit, and thus, my mood, and inspire others to go against the grain. I want to encourage you to do the same thing that I encourage myself to do every time I style an outfit:

“Wear it, even if it scares you.”

I have so much respect for people who are unapologetically themselves and have no shame in expressing their own unique style. I wish more of us embraced our individual nuances, instead of being chained to mediocrity because of the possibility of another’s judgement. I think that’s why I absolutely love all the street style blogs following New York and Paris Fashion Week, photographical collections of eclectic people who just don’t give a crap. It’s amazing.

So, what have you been wanting to wear that scares you? Do tell!
And, I encourage you to fight your fear this week and wear it!

I hope you are having a bright and cheery start to your Monday!
Thanks for stopping by, y’all!
With LOVE & sequins,
Haley
