Hi friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and your first day back wasn’t too tough. I was struggling with poor Internet connection at our hotel here in Cozumel [although I am still OBSESSED with this hotel! Can’t wait to tell you more about it!] so much so that I was nervous I wouldn’t be able to post my Daily Hair Routine y’all requested from me! Thankfully, I was about to get it posted and hope you all enjoyed it. Check it out if you haven’t!

Recently, I went to a VERY casual wedding and debating for AWHILE about what to wear. It was my friend Mandi’s wedding. She was one of the first girls I met at my church, and I was immediately inspired by her. She makes you feel so loved and seen and valued because she intently listens to you, prays for you and follows up with you. She is such a beautiful girl and I couldn’t have been more happy for her to finally find the man God intended for her.

Mandi has a very girly, boho, no-fuss kind of style and personality so, when I was chatting with her at one of her showers about what to wear to the wedding, she was like ‘Honestly, I really, really don’t care what people wear. I just want everyone to be comfortable. It’s going to be super casual.’

The word casual threw me.

So … is that like, nice jeans and a cute blouse-y tank?

Jean shorts and a t-shirt?

Surely, not that casual, right?

She went on to mention how she’d rather everyone wear flats because we would be outside, and the ceremony would be in the woods. It was absolutely beautiful. There were three rows of chairs in a circle, surrounding a large wooden cross in the center that her and Dan stood in front of during the ceremony. I absolutely loved it!

But, I’ll tell you … that kind of wedding for that kind of bride always makes me feel a little more nervous about what to wear than a formal wedding. [ALTHOUGH I TOTALLY LOVE AND RESPECT THAT SHE WANTS THAT HER GUESTS. SERIOUSLY. LOVE IT. IT REFLECTS HER THOUGHTFUL HEART AND LOVE FOR HER PEOPLE] I wanted her to get what she wanted on her wedding day, so I ended up opting for this knit tie-front dress from ASOS and, although it did get a little hot being that I live in Florida, I think it was very appropriate for the occasion for most other places. Mandi also requested we all either wear gray or a shade of blue, so I felt like it respected her request, as well as the one she made about being comfortable. This dress is super comfortable! I did wear sandals to the wedding, per her request, but wore wedges in this post in case you wanted to see how I’d wear it a little more dressed up!

Best part about this dress? It’s only $46!

I hope y’all find this post helpful! Can’t wait to share more from my trip to Mexico! We’re having a great time and heading to our final destination for the rest of our trip tomorrow! Stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by today y’all! xo.
