Hey there, friends! I’ve taken a little bit of time off from the blog, as some of y’all may have noticed. This was partly because of my move on Friday and partly because of not having internet in my home until yesterday afternoon. I was a little interested to see how I would fair without my constant need for voices to be on in the background while I work or while I unpacked but I discovered podcasts just in time. It’s my new obsession and I don’t know that this is a good thing or not, hah! I’ve spent way too much time listening to them at this point but … #noregrets.
Once I’ve made a dent in podcast categories OTHER than murder mystery and crime, would y’all want me to share my favorite podcasts and why in a post? Let me know!
Fall is upon us. Have you satisfied your pumpkin spice craving yet? I have … and I even hunted down my favorite Leaves candle from Bath & Body Works that I had leftover from last year. I got some cute Fall decor over the weekend at Home Goods. I absolutely love this time of year! It’s filled with so much coziness and it makes me so happy. Okay, so finding a cute dress to wear in the Fall is kind of hard, in my opinion. There have been so many times where a dress I find is a great color for the season but doesn’t have sleeves or I’ll find one that HAS sleeves but is just kind of … boring. I recently found THIS floral wrap dress, which caught my eye because of the colors. I love the deep lavender, pink, cream and magenta combination a lot! I know I share a lot of dresses with y’all … especially this year … and I’ll work on that but I just thought it was too pretty to not share. It runs true to size and would be a really great option for church, work or a professional event. Also – SIDE NOTE – the wind was so bad on the day we took this so … please excuse all my crazy fly aways, hah! Nothing helps those when the sea breeze gets bad!
How’s y’alls week going?
Today, I have a lot to catch up on! I have lots of emails to get back to. Miguel & I are [hopefully] going to shoot later today – if the rain holds off. I need t get some blog posts written for the rest of the week because it’s likely I’ll be heading out of Florida with the boys by the weekend, if Irma stays at a strong Category 4/5. It could weaken tremendously before it even gets to my area [and I will praise the Lord when it does] but, I do not want to be here if it doesn’t. I’m going to pick up Mr. Chips late, late this afternoon and then I’ll make a final decision on Thursday based on what the projection looks like. Today, I’m thankful for parents who sounded the alarm and friends who are so willing to open up their homes to myself & the boys.
Have a great Hump Day, friends! I haven’t forgotten about Houston relief efforts! I’m working on something to help a couple of families in need and I hope y’all will help me bless them with some things they need. More information in the coming days! Thanks for stopping by! xo.
