Hey there, friends! Happy Monday! Can you believe Thanksgiving is this week!?! I love this time of year and am excited to make a few things to contribute to the family dinner! What are y’all making? I’m doing macaroni and cheese & a cheesecake, I think!
It’s been a minute since I embraced purple and burgundy tones but, I must say, I’m obsessed with this outfit and I’m glad I gave it a go again! I recently purchased this amazing down jacket for my trip next week. I’m going to a Winter Wonderland, essentially, and am needing all the help with outerwear that I can get! I’m having the best luck at Nordstrom. They have such a great selection this year. All of my favorite wool coats from J.Crew are available there in ALL colors. They also have a wide variety long and short down jackets from major brands like Patagonia, Canada Goose and The North Face. The jacket I’m wearing in today’s post is by Everlane, which I was completely unfamiliar with, but was drawn to them because of their sizing. I saw that they had an XXS available and that they run small. It’s really hard for me to find outerwear that fits me appropriately. Most of the time it completely drowns me but this jacket fits like a glove. I could even wear one of my bigger wool coats over it and would be extremely comfortable in single-digit temp’s! Since I live in Florida, I opted to pair it with this lightweight striped turtleneck and distressed white denim and sneakers. ALSO … this jacket IS the burgundy color but it looks much more purple in person, as these photos very clearly show.
The best part of this outfit is that MOST of the items within it are under $100 and they’re winter basics that can be worn and mixed with a lot of other basics and neutral wardrobe essentials.
