Wow. What a whirlwind.
That is literally what I think of when I think back on 2017. From my roommate moving out of our 2-bedroom apartment in January to adopting Chips in the same month to bringing my assistant to full-time status in April to traveling to 8 different countries in the course of the year to moving in September …. it’s just insane to think of what the year held. But, THAT’S not even what I juggled on the blog, hah! There were numerous exciting campaigns with new and veteran partners, an increase in lifestyle topics and travel content here on S&T, a decrease in dedicated outfit posts, an obstacle that was fought for and won [more on this soon!] for the betterment of the blog in the long run, and so much warmth and love given to me freely by so many of you! You’ve flocked to so many posts and left the sweetest comments, making me feel truly understood and loved. Thank you so much for what you’ve done for S&T this year and allowing me to make a living out of a passion I have.

I know this post seems a little outdated, being that it’s almost February at this point but, since I was traveling during the week after Christmas and the New Year holiday, I’m still playing catch up on end of year content. Today, I’m sharing the most popular blog posts of 2017! Since I got back from my trip, I’ve taken quite a bit of time to really reflect on this list and what it says about what y’all gravitate toward, what you value and what you’re wanting to see more of from me. The saying ‘actions speak so much louder than words’ applies to so much more than just the people in our lives. It also applies when I’m looking at my blog analytics. I mean y’all might say you love my style but … when not ONE of these posts is a dedicated outfit post, it makes me truly believe y’all like more than just that! It speaks VOLUMES to me and I want you to know I hear you! I want my little piece of the internet to be a place y’all truly love coming to so, although this list is helpful, it doesn’t give me a complete picture of what all of you want to see moving forward. IV. Review + Q&A: Picoway Laser Facial Treatment
Exploring ways to improve the health and look of my skin was one of my favorite endeavors of 2017 and it blew me away how many of you were so intrigued by the path I chose, a laser treatment sequence. I was so irresponsible in the sun when I was in high school and college and my skin paid the price. I’m so lucky that I didn’t get anything worse than sunspots, although these are pretty bad – as you can see! I’m happy I was able to enlighten so many of y’all on cosmetic procedures that really are for the benefit of your skin and, as a result, your confidence! I have every intention of following up on this post in the next couple of months to share how my skin is looking now. I have one last treatment to get this week, actually, so stay tuned for an update!

Again, y’all love when I get personal with you so it was no surprise that my moving announcement post did so well! It means so much to me that you would send ME your questions on a variety of topics, from travel to skincare, and it’s always fun to sit down with so many of them and just KNOCK ’em out! My assistant, Justine, and I have been wracking our brains trying to figure out a new system for getting back to email and direct message questions and we think we found a great solution! Stay tuned in the coming weeks for that announcement!

Y’all know I love to travel and while I feel very blessed I can travel for work … I also want to make sure I use what I learn to help y’all travel better and / or feel more comfortable getting out there with my suggestions for travel essentials! I’m so happy this post has done just that!

X. Mexico Travel Guide: Tulum
My trip to Tulum in 2016 was dreamy and I can’t recommend you taking a trip down there enough! It’s a much better choice than Playa del Carmen or Cancun in my book so I’m excited to see so many of y’all have an interest! My outfit above is a good indication of my uniform that week – bathing suits, coverups and bare feet! The outfits from my Tulum trip are chronicled in THIS old Instagram Roundup!
