Hi there, friends!

With temperatures already creeping into the low 90’s the last few days here in Florida, I have been desperately searching for as many lightweight summer options as possible to fill my Summer wardrobe. I’ve been especially gravitating toward playsuits lately, like this linen set from Urban Outfitters, but I’ll never discriminate against what I typically go for, easy breezy dresses. Anything that doesn’t hug me too close and is breathable is what has been ending up in my cart lately!

Have you shopped at Urban Outfitters lately? They have integrated a new service called AfterPay into their online store payment options. The AfterPay payment option allows you to pay your bill in four equal payments sent every two weeks. Your order must be at least $35 and you will not incur any additional fees over the course of your payment period, as long as you pay your bills on time. I was so excited to hear about this service as it most certainly takes a lot of stress off of people who are shopping for multiple special occasions or weekend getaways at once. Summer is such a busy time of year because the weather is so nice but, with that, comes additional expenses, so I love that AfterPay is available as an option when you’re trying to buy for multiple things all at once if you have a history of being timely in paying your bills and budget appropriately.

Urban Outfitters has so many cute things available for Summer. The women’s department has so many tempting items to try for summer getaways but it’s their home section that has my jaw on the ground. Their home decor options are unreal. I literally never realized they had a gold mine on their website for people like me who have just been feeling uninspired in the home department recently. I’m really excited to invest in a few new pieces of furniture for around the house. It’s the perfect thing to use AfterPay for. Furniture is an investment but when it’s broken up into payments, without being charged interest, it makes it feel less intimidating to pull the trigger!

Here are some all around favorites on the Urban Outfitters  site right now!

I hope you guys have had a great week so far! It’s been a BUSY one over here for the team & I but we are making some great progress! I’m so excited about all the changes we’re putting into place. It’s been so fun to work with them on creating processes and brainstorming the most efficient ways for doing certain things. It’s really fun having co-workers again. I’ve always enjoyed working with Justine but it’s crazy and super exciting, and almost surreal, that this blog is the livelihood of more than just myself, which is incredible … and also a little bit scary. It makes me more and more thankful for you guys. Thank you for coming to the blog. Thank you for supporting AlysonHaley.com. It means a lot to us! Have a great Thursday, friends! 🙂 xo.

Editor's Notes

In this linen top and bottom set, I got an XS but did have to take it to the tailor to size it down for me. So, I’d go one size down from your normal size.

The espadrille flats run true to size and are very comfortable.

I would recommend wearing a sticky bra wth this linen top. It does have a V in the back that goes down just far enough to where you can see whatever bra you’re wearing.

Being financially smart would mean waiting until you have the money to purchase the items that you want. I disagree that this is a good way to buy a summer wardrobe. The reality is that most will end up putting the follow-up payments on credit cards which will mean interest down the road. If you cannot afford it now, do not buy it!

Hi Sharon! Thanks for sharing your insight. Opting to pay this way ALL the time would definitely not be something I would recommend but, every now and then, if you are typically very diligent about budgeting and making payments, it could be a good option for people.

Cool! I also recently heard of quad pay where they break the payment into four installments, like qvc does.
Love your shoes, I have them in pink! xAllie

Thank you for sharing, Haley! I love the look you chose for this post. Super cute!! I also LOVE the idea of After Pay. I’m in my last year of law school and it has been hard purchasing staple pieces for my professional wardrobe while still living on the budget of a student. I like that After Pay allows you to not have to pay the entire amount up front, without the hassle and guilt that comes along with signing up for ANOTHER credit card. I really appreciate you sharing this with us. I am definitely going to look into it. 🙂

Hi Chelsea! Thanks so much for your kind words about the outfit and I’m so happy to hear you love the idea of AfterPay. I think it could be really helpful for people, too, for the same reason! No interest. You just need to be smart and diligent about paying the payments off in time 🙂
