Hey there, friends! Happy Wednesday!
I don’t know about you but my makeup and hair care preferences change based on the season. I tend to gravitate toward rich, cool toned purples and lavender in the Fall and bright, warm peach tones in the Spring and Summer. Today, I thought it’d be fun to share some of the Summer beauty buys I’ve been loving lately, some of which are new additions to my beauty arsenal and others are tried and true favorites!
BUMBLE & BUMBLE Surf Spray: This is a product that I picked up last year and just couldn’t quit. It puts some really good grit and texture to your hair making your hair have that effortless, beachy, undone vibe to it.
BUMBLE & BUMBLE Surf Foam Spray: After loving the Surf Spray last year, I decided to give this new product a try. My hair is fine so, even though I have a lot of it, I feel like it lacks volume. This product is half-mousse and half-sea spray leaving your hair with beachy texture with a heat-styled polish. Personally, I love it because it adds volume but also dirties up my hair just enough to make my curls actually stay after washing it.
NARS Velvet Lip Glide: I mentioned this lip product in my Everyday Makeup Routine a few months ago. It goes on so smooth and lends beautifully pigmented color to your lips. I tend to opt for neutrals, so I love the color ‘Stripped’. It gives you a really natural look but they have some really bright colors that would be perfect for Summer, as well! It’s a product truly perfect for every gal!
TARTE Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer: I’ve been trying out some new bronzers lately after running out of what I usually use. I’ve shared that I’ve been loving the Smashbox Cali Contour Kit but I’ve also been impressed by Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer. It gives your face an effortless summer glow and radiance. I highly recommend!
MAC Powder Blush in ‘Margin’: This is a great neutral powder blush, also mentioned in my Everyday Makeup Routine, that will be such a natural compliment to your sunkissed face. It has a little shimmer to it, as well, which I like. It’s almost an integrated highlight. If you don’t like anything too intense, this would be perfect for you!
TARTE ‘Exposed Highlight’ Amazonian Clay Highlighter in ‘Stunner’: If you just can’t get enough of that summer glow, though … you NEED this highlighter by Tarte. Simply sweep it on to the top of your blush line and right along the arch of your eyebrows and it will truly make your face light up in the prettiest way! I love how long lasting it is and how long the little compact will last you because a little dusting goes a long way! This is GREAT news for your bank account!
MAC Eyeshadow Palette: This is an oldie but a goodie in my collection. I think it provides a great variety of colors with beautifully blendable pigment for whatever the occasion you’re getting ready for this Summer. It has light neutrals for that effortless Summer night out at the ballpark look and has some darker browns and a black to create a dramatic cat eye for those sassy girls’ nights out!
Last week, I shared a couple of these products with you on IG stories and that I snagged them on eBay. My friends at eBay reached out while I was in Italy and encouraged me to consider buying some of the summer beauty products I’ve had my eye on on their site versus some others I would normally consider just to gain experience. It was a great reminder to something I learned about eBay earlier this year, that they are no longer a destination for people to sell the items they want to get rid of. It’s a reliable shopping destination for people who are looking for new products that are looking to save a little money. It’s also a great place to a find a very ‘niche’ product that you’ve been having trouble finding other places. eBay offers a wide variety of products to offer and 69% of their products ship for free!
Think of how many times you have buyers remorse after purchasing new beauty buys but can’t find the receipt or are just too lazy to take it back for store credit. Then, it just sits there in your bathroom cabinet or drawer. I don’t know about you but I am totally guilty of that and I always feel terrible throwing brand new product away! So, it’s nice to know that there is somewhere for people to resell those products. And, I was finding that, for beauty products, their prices start as low as $9.99!
If you’re new to shopping on eBay, I have a few tips to make it super easy to find what you’re looking for:
• Search for either the specific product or the brand – Personally, I would search the brand because you get a wider variety of products to choose from.
• Use the filtering system on the left hand side of the results – I always make sure that Free Shipping and New Condition is checked. I would like the product I purchase to also provide Free Returns but if I’m restocking a product that I already love, I don’t always find it necessary.
• Check the price against competitor sites – I found that the products I was purchasing on eBay were consistently $6-8 less than other sites! Who doesn’t love saving money?
• Shop confidently – eBay offers so many services to back up their customers like Money Back Guarantee, Guaranteed Delivery and Price Match Guarantee!
So, consider shopping at eBay for your Summer beauty products this year and keep them at top of mind for other things, as well! Thanks for stopping by today, loves! I’m off to London tonight to then head somewhere new on Saturday morning. Keep up with everyone on IG stories and I’m also going to be sure to link my daily outfits on IG stories for you guys this time, as well! Sorry I wasn’t as good about that on my last trip! 🙂 Have a great Wednesday! xo.
