Hey there, friends! Happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? I saw that there was quite a bit of snow for a lot of my East Coast friends, and I was definitely a little jealous! Florida hasn’t seen snow that has stuck to the ground since 1989. We are DUE! Hah, but it didn’t happen for us this weekend. It was cold, though, which I didn’t mind. I always love bundling up as you can see in this picture I posted on Instagram on Saturday! The scarf I am wearing is only $25 and such a cute alternative to the normal leopard print colors.
Getting dressed over the weekend was a nice change-up being that I lived in athleisure last week. As y’all know, I have a lot going on behind the scenes as I work towards keeping my number 1 New Years resolution, which is to get organized after my roommate of two years has moved out of our apartment! I’ve been putting spackle on the walls, touching them up with paint, moving clothes over to my new closet, moving toiletries and linens over to my new bathroom, bagging up donations and trash, measuring spaces as I shop online for new furniture, and writing and re-writing to-do lists to stay organized. That made me tired just writing that, haha …
I love getting ready as much as the next girl but sometimes, you just need to be in something comfortable that won’t slow you down! These days I’m opting for bright colored or fleece lined leggings, lightweight Nike sneaks, and oversized tops with athletic jackets. I always hit the jackpot at Nordstrom – no surprise there!
The great thing is that these items will also help me achieve another resolution of mine this year, which is to take better care of myself. Now, that’s an umbrella resolution, to be honest. There are a lot of ways that I want to do that but one, in particular, is to increase my diet and exercise game. I met with and hired a trainer yesterday. I’ve been wearing a Fitbit last week to track my activity. I plan to use it to keep track of my water and calorie intake, and sleep patterns, as well. I’ve been loving the one I got. It’s called the Alta. I like it because it’s slim but still has a small screen. It can connect to Wi-Fi and alert you when you have a call or a text message, and the band is interchangeable. I bought it in black, but also bought the teal and light pink bands because, I mean, spring is coming 😉 In these photos, you can see the gold band that’s available that I was excited to try BUT … it was too big on me. I just have a really small wrist so it should work fine for most people. I think it’s so cute!
My workouts start TOMORROW so I’ve been stocking up on more cute athleisure items. Here are some things that I either LOVE or have picked up to sport:
Have a great Monday, friends! xo.
