Germany holds the title for the coldest country I’ve ever ventured to so, in the Winter, be sure to bundle up!

Haley's Top 5 Tips:

When you’re traveling, it’s important to remember that every culture is different. This was very clear to me in Germany. Germans are nice but they’re not overly friendly or warm. Don’t mistake that for rudeness. It’s just how they are so don’t be offended.

If you’ve ever wanted to travel to Germany for Oktoberfest, keep in mind … the event is usually in September, not October.

Driving in Germany is a breeze. I highly recommend driving from place to place but I think driving in a foreign country is always easier when there is a driver and a navigator.

If you’re traveling to Germany in the winter, be sure to bring base layers to keep yourself dry and warm!

If you’re traveling to Neuschwanstein Castle, keep in mind that the suspension bridge with the best view is usually closed during the cold months. Since the pathway leading up to it is on an incline and with snow and ice, it does pose a risk for falls.
